DESIGN
In terms of design, the OnePlus 6 too a big leap, it has an aluminium alloy overall unibody that’s covered exquisitely in Corning Gorilla Glass 5. This is the first smartphone from OnePlus with a glass back. With IP54 certifications, the device isn’t fully water resistant but offers a little splash resistant.
At the top middle, we can see how the dual shooters are in a vertical position. The dual-LED flash comes underneath, followed by the fingerprint scanner, before the OnePlus logo. It measures 7.8 mm in thickness and weighs 177g overall. You can get it in Midnight Black, Mirror Black and a limited edition in Silk White.
DISPLAY
This is also the first OnePlus smartphone with the trending notch as well. The notched screen dishes out a 19:9 aspect ratio and offers taller and bigger overall display. Even though there are no side bezels in sight, the bottom bezel came out to play a little bit.
The device is built around a 6.28-inch Optic AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, Which is absolutely brilliant to look at. It has a resolution of 1080 x 2280 pixels and 402 pixels per inch density for immersive visuals. There’s another Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top here, with support for both sRGB and DCI-P3.
HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE
No doubt OnePlus 6 is one of the most powerful devices out there with beastly Snapdragon 845 chip from Qualcomm. The Octa-core processor runs at a blazing speed of 2.8GHz with an impressive 10nm process technology. In the graphics department, the Adreno 630 graphics processor handles the processing unit and you will have no problem playing the most graphics demanding games out there.
In terms of RAM, there is one with 8GB RAM for all your heavy multitasking, it has a memory speed of 1.8GHz. The 8GB RAM variant has two different internal storage versions, there’s one with 256GB storage and another with 128GB. Nonetheless, there’s a cheaper variant with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage. The OnePlus 6 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with Oxygen OS on top.
CAMERA
In the camera department, you are getting a dual 16MP + 20MP rear shooters with a f/1.7 aperture which lets enough light in when taking photographs. The 16MP camera that comes first has 1/2.6″ sensor size, 1.22µm pixel size, gyro-EIS and OIS. While the 20MP telephoto shooter underneath has 1/2.8″ sensor size and 1.0µm pixel size.
There are other internal features to enhance your photography here, with a dualLED flash as well. You can record 4K videos @ 60 fps with the OnePlus 6. The 16MP AI-powered front-facing camera has f/2.0 aperture, 20mm lens, 1/3″ sensor size, 1.0µm pixel size, gyro-EIS, Auto HDR and supports Face ID.

The OnePlus 6 is powered by a non-removable Li-Po 3300mAh battery with fast charging technology.
PRICE AND AVAILABILITY
OnePlus 6 is not yet available for purchase but the asking price starts from $529 to $629, that’s about (N185,000 – N220,000).
