The long-awaited OnePlus Ace has finally been launched in China by OnePlus. The smartphone has a new design and is powered by MediaTek’s new Dimensity 8100-MAX premium mid-range processor. We’ll see what the new device has in store for us in this article.
OnePlus Ace Specifications and Price
The design of the Oneplus Ace exudes style and luxury. It has a frame with rounded corners and a flat edge. The back panel features a two-tone color scheme with lovely vertical lines. The smartphone has a thickness of 8.2mm, weighs 186 grams and has an in-display fingerprint scanner. The OnePlus Ace is available in two colors: black and a color-shifting light blue color.
The phone features a 6.7-inch OLED display with an FHD+ resolution on the front, as well as a 120Hz refresh rate, 360Hz touch sampling rate, and even a 720Hz gaming touch sampling rate. It also has a DCI P3 color gamut of 100 percent, HDR10+ support, and a maximum brightness of 1000 nits. The front camera is housed in a punch-hole cutout in the upper center of the screen.
On the camera department, the OnePlus Ace has a triple camera arrangement, with the primary sensor being a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 sensor (with OIS, 4K, night mode, and more). The phone also has an 8-megapixel Sony IMX355 ultra-wide lens and a 2-megapixel macro sensor in addition to the primary sensor. The smartphone has a 16-megapixel Samsung lens on the front for selfies and video calling.
The new MediaTek Dimensity 8100-MAX SoC is at the heart of the OnePlus Ace. Up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage are included with the new SoC.
In addition, OnePlus has added an independent graphics chip and a HyperBoost game frame stabilization engine, which reduces jittering and frame dips during long gaming sessions.
The smartphone comes pre-installed with Android 12-based ColorOS 12 and a 4,500mAh battery with 150W SuperVOOC rapid charging. Users will be able to charge their gadgets from 0% to 100% in less than 17 minutes with this charging solution onboard.
5G, dual 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C connection for charging and data transfer are among the connectivity options.
In China, the OnePlus Ace is priced as follows:
- 2499 Yuan ($387) for 8GB + 128GB
- 2699 Yuan ($418) for 8GB + 256GB
- 2999 Yuan ($465) for 12GB + 256GB
- 3499 Yuan ($542) for 12GB + 512G
The smartphone is now available for pre-order in China, with the official launch date set for April 26.
With the device, OnePlus also unveiled a cooling back clip called the OnePlus 18W Freezing point cooling back clip. Even during a long gaming session, the OnePlus Freezing Point cooler is said to keep the device’s temperature at 36.4 °C.
