The OnePlus Open is the first foldable phone from OnePlus, and it seems they took their time to deliver something great. It has a glass or eco-leather back, depending on your desired model. It has an aluminum frame, and it weighs almost the same as the iPhone 14 Pro Max. There isn’t an IP rating, another reason the Galaxy Z Fold 5 is ahead of the device.
You get a 6.31-inch LTPO3 Super Fluid OLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and up to 3000 nits of brightness outdoors. The Inner Display of the OnePlus Open is a 7.82-inch Foldable LTPO3 Flexi-Fluid display, and it can also get close to 3000 nits of brightness outdoors. It also has a 120 Hz refresh rate. The display has even bezels around it, and we must commend the effort of OnePlus for doing that.
It runs on Android 13, and XOS 13 is the user interface. The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 with 16GB RAM and 512GB RAM. Performance is solid, and the phone doesn’t overheat even when you push it to its limit. OnePlus added a fantastic cooling mechanism that takes out heat from the phone and makes sure it’s balanced in the phone.
The phone has three unique cameras: a 48MP primary camera, a 64MP telephoto camera, and a 48MP ultrawide camera. Two selfie cameras are on the inside screen, a 20MP and 32MP camera. You can shoot 4K videos with all the cameras on the phone. The cameras are color-calibrated by Hasselblad. There is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner on the phone and an alert slider, which was previously shared with OnePlus phones.
The OnePlus Open has a 4805mAh battery that can last a day on a single charge. It supports 67 watts fast charging and takes only 42 minutes to charge from zero to a hundred.
