Oppo K1 is a newly released selfie-centric smartphone that debuted recently in India packing quite a punch. For starters, it has a massive AMOLED display, a 25MP front-facing camera, a capable Snapdragon 660 SoC and is currently the cheapest smartphone to come with an in-display/under-display fingerprint sensor, priced just under INR 17,000, approximately $240. Oppo K1 Design And Display
Oppo K1 has a massive 6.4-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and a pixel per inch density of 402. Aspect ratio stands tall at 19:9 with a water-drop/tear-drop notch up top housing the front-facing camera. The display is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Oppo K1 utilises the under-display fingerprint sensor so the back of the device is occupied by only the dual camera setup and LED flash. This device weighs just 156grams and measures 7.4mm in thickness. Colour options available are Red, Blue and Silver Green, all with a little touch of the gradient feel.
Oppo K1 Camera Review
The front facing camera here is perhaps one of the highlights of this device so let’s start there. It is equipped with a 25MP selfie camera which sits comfortably in the water drop notch. The camera has an f/2.0 aperture and is equipped with HDR. It can also record 1080p videos at a maximum of 30fps. Moving over to the back is the dual camera setup; a 16MP main shooter with an f/1.8 aperture and PDAF alongside a secondary 2MP depth sensor camera with an f/2.4 aperture. Features of the rear camera include HDR, Panorama, an LED flash and 2160/1080p video recording capabilities at 30fps.
Oppo K1 Hardware and Software
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 SoC powers this device; A 14nm Chipset which has an octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz paired with an Adreno 512 GPU. It has a 4GB RAM and 6GB RAM variant, both of which come with 64GB of Internal storage. Storage space can also be expanded further via the on board dedicated MicroSD slot, up to 256GB. Oppo K1 runs Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with their Color OS 5.2 Skin on top.
Battery & Network Connectivity
Oppo K1 is packed with a 3,600mAh battery capacity which has a 10W fast charging (5V/2A). It is also equipped with 4G LTE connectivity, dual-band WiFi, WiFi hotspot, WiFi direct, Bluetooth, GPS, 3.5mm jack and a micro USB port. Unfortunately, there is no NFC here.

Starting price for the device is INR 16,990 for the base 4GB/64GB which is approximately $240 with the bigger 6GB/64GB going for a little above that.
