Tech giant Oppo didn’t just announce one but two smartphones, the Oppo R15 Dream Mirror Edition and Oppo R15. The Dream Mirror Edition is a special edition of the Oppo R15 that’s powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon.

The Dream Mirror Edition was made solely from Ceramic and covered exclusively in glass. The rear looks so plain just like most Oppo smartphones, and to be honest, there’s no major difference with the R15 at the rear. Still, the same dual horizontal shooters at the top left corner with dual-LED flash.
The fingerprint is still at the back, which means the company isn’t ready for the in-display fingerprint hype. It’s just a tiny bit thicker here, measuring just 7.5 mm in thickness, but still weighs the same 175g overall. You can only get it in Red, Purple and White colors.
Just like the Oppo R15, the Dream Mirror Edition comes with the top-notch as well. The bottom bezel, however, is still pretty much visible than expected. Nonetheless, it dishes out more screen than bezels, even the top-notch is at its minimum.
Sports exactly the same 6.28-inch FHD+ AMOLED capacitive touchscreen here. With the same screen resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels in resolution and 402 pixels per inch density. It stretches up to 84% screen to body ratio, competing with the likes of Galaxy S9 and Vivo Apex.
HARDWARE and SOFTWARE
Houses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 MSM8976 Plus chip with Octa-core processor and 64-bit CPU architecture. The processor reaches a maximum clock speed of 2.2GHz and has a 14nm process technology to boost the overall performance.
In terms of graphics, the Qualcomm Adreno 512 graphics processor is in total control. Still ships with 6GB RAM for multitasking with a memory speed of 1866MHz as usual. While for storage, there’s a 128GB space available and upgradeable up to 256GB. Oppo R15 Dream Mirror Edition runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with ColorOS 5.0.
Packs more powerful dual 16MP + 20MP cameras with f/1.7 and f/2.2 aperture respectively. The rear cameras on the Dream Mirror Edition are meant to work together and capture photographs with approximately 4608 x 3456 pixels in dimension and 4K videos. For selfies, the 20MP selfie camera on the Oppo R15 Dream Mirror Edition boasts of f/2.0 aperture for taking selfies.
The Oppo R15 Dream Mirror Edition is powered by a removable Li-Po 3400mAh battery with fast charging technology.
PRICE AND AVAILABILITY
Oppo R15 Dream Mirror Edition will be available from April for $549 to $599, that’s about (N170,000 – N190,000).
