The OPPO Reno 8 series has been released. The Reno 8, Reno 8 Pro, and Reno 8 Pro+ are part of the lineup. All three devices have the same design but differ slightly in terms of specifications. The Reno 8 series is the follow-up to last year’s Reno 7 series. In this article, we will look at the specifications and pricing of the Oppo Reno 8 series.
OPPO Reno 8 series specifications
The OPPO Reno 8 and 8 Pro have a 6.43-inch screen with a punch-hole cutout in the top left corner, to begin with. The Pro+ model has a larger, 6.7-inch screen with a punch in the middle. Except for the vanilla model, which has a 90Hz refresh rate, all three smartphones have an AMOLED panel with an FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
The camera module on the OPPO Reno 8 series is squarish in shape and rises from the back panel. From the Reno 8 to the Reno 8 Pro+, the size of the camera island grows. Each of the three smartphones has a boxy design and an in-screen fingerprint scanner.
The OPPO Reno 8 series has three cameras on the back. A 50MP main sensor, a 2MP secondary snapper, and a 2MP macro unit make up the regular variant’s setup. Except for the 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, the Pro and Pro+ models have the same sensors.
The OPPO Reno 8 series includes the company’s MariSilicon X chip, which is said to provide next-generation photography capabilities. A 32MP selfie camera is included on all three smartphones.
The OPPO Reno 8 is powered by a Dimensity 1300 SoC, while the Pro variant is equipped with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor, which was recently announced. The Pro+ model, on the other hand, comes with a Dimensity 8100-Max chipset. All three phones come with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The Reno 8 series is powered by a 4,500mAh battery with 80W fast charging support.

The 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 256GB RAM and storage configurations of the OPPO Reno 8 cost Yuan 2,499, Yuan 2,699, and Yuan 2,999, respectively. The Reno 8 Pro is available in three configurations: Yuan 2,999, Yuan 3,199, and Yuan 3,499. Both devices come in three colour schemes: Clear Sky Blue, Slightly Drunk, and Night Tour Black.
The Reno 8 Pro+, on the other hand, costs Yuan 3,699 and Yuan 3,999 for the 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB configurations, respectively.
The OPPO Reno 8 series has been launched in Nigeria. The base model costs about 260,000 Naira.
