Design And Display
On the Oppo RX17 Neo is a 6.41-inch Super AMOLED Display with a 1080 x 2340 pixels screen resolution and a 402 pixel per inch density. Also, like the Oppo RX17 Pro, the RX17 Neo has a 19:9 aspect ratio with a water drop notch that houses the front-facing camera.
Turning over to the back is not one, but two cameras with an LED flash. The fingerprint sensor on the Oppo RX17 Neo, just like on the Oppo RX17 Pro is underneath the display. Overall the device weighs 156 grams and measures at 7.4mm. Colours available for this device are just Red and Blue.
Hardware and Software
Inside the device is a Snapdragon 660 chipset with octa-core processor and a 2.2GHz clock speed. Adreno 512 GPU takes care of gaming while the 4GB of RAM takes care of multitasking.
There is only one storage option of 128GB here but if you need more storage then you can use the MicroSD card slot which can accommodate up to 256GB. For software, we have Oppo’s very own Color OS 5.2 based on Android 8.1 Oreo running in the device out of the box.
Camera, Battery & Connectivity
16MP + 2MP camera takes care of the photography needs with f/1.7 and f/2.4 aperture respectively while the single 25MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture takes care of your selfie needs. The dual rear cameras have an LED flash to brighten to low light photos and can also record 4k videos at 30 frames per second.
The battery on the Oppo RX17 Neo is 100mAh smaller at 3,600mAh battery capacity compared to Oppo RX17 Pro’s 3700mAh battery Capacity. Both devices have fast charged but Oppo RX17 Neo is capped at 10W while Oppo RX17 Pro goes as high as 50W (Super VOOC flash charge)
