Panasonic Eluga I7 is a budget-friendly smartphone from the tech giant, Panasonic. The phone was built for those on a budget, but notwithstanding it comes with the latest features.

Firstly, the 18:9 aspect ratio full screen which Panasonic claims will help you experience a bigger view. Then there’s the Face Unlock feature, fingerprint scanner and 4000mAh battery.

Design And Display

Just like most budget-friendly smartphones, it has a Plastic body and available in three beautiful colours, Gold, Blue and Black. There’s a fingerprint scanner at the rear, just in case you don’t like the Face Unlock feature.

It also sports sleek antenna lines which bring out the best of the body. While the selfie camera and LED flash are visible at the top left corner. It measures 9.3mm in thickness and weighs 168g overall.

We have seen a lot of screen like this these past few months, but Panasonic stressed the Eluga I7 has an innovative full screen with Sharp visuals. The narrow bezels are almost non-existent.

The 5.45-inch HD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen has a resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels and 295 pixels per inch density for clear and sharp visuals. It stretches up to 72.7% screen-to-body ratio as well.

Hardware and Software

Working underneath is the Mediatek MT6737H which was built on an older 28nm process technology. It comes with quad-core processor clocking at 1.25GHz, while the Mali-T720MP2 graphics card controls graphics.

You shouldn’t expect a blissful multitasking with its 2Gb of RAM. For storing files, the 16GB storage space handles all your files and apps even though you can expand up to 64GB using a memory card.

Camera And Connectivity

It sports an 8MP rear shooter with f/2.0 aperture, 1.12 µm pixel size and autofocus. The camera boasts of HDR, panorama and a LED flash for late night shoots. There’s another 8MP selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture, 1.12 µm pixel size and LED flash for selfies.

The Eluga I7 supports 4G LTE connectivity and accommodates dual Nano SIM. It has support for Bluetooth 4.1, 3.5mm jack, USB TypeC, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Hotspot and A-GPS, GLONASS.

The Panasonic Eluga I7 is powered by a non-removable 4000mAh battery with no fast charging technology. Panasonic Eluga I7 is available on shopping stores, starting from $89 to $99, that’s about (N25,000 – N35,000).
