Barely seven months after the X2 series, Realme went ahead to unveil its successor in India – the X3 series. This new series is quite different and features the Realme X3 and X3 Super Zoom. The duo isn’t that far apart in terms of specs and features. And from the naming, you could guess the major difference. Design and Display
The Realme X3 series comes in a premium body build that features an anti-glare fingerprint-proof glass. This gives the surface an unprecedented level of uniformity and finesse. Visually, the design is balanced and smooth to touch. The fingerprint reader is located at the right-hand side, leaving the quad-camera occupying the rear. The front side is home to display with a pill-shaped hole at the top left corner. The pill-shaped hole houses two selfie cameras. The Realme X3 series measures 8.9mm thick and weighs 202g. They are available in just two colours – Arctic White and Glacier Blue.
The Realme X3 and X3 Super Zoom are built around an ultra-smooth display which measures 6.6″ in size. The display features a 120Hz refresh rate, 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution, 399 PPI density and 20:9 aspect ratio. You can also count on the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 to protect the display.
Hardware and Software
Powering the Realme X3 series is the powerful Snapdragon 855+ chipset which uses an advanced 7nm FinFET process technology. Its Octa-core processor clocks at 2.96GHz while the Adreno 640 GPU clocks at 700MHz. This hardware is built to multitask, such as playing a game, editing photos, launching heavy applications, or watching HD movies.
Inside the phones is an upgraded liquid cooling system that has a 100% effective coverage of internal heat sources. The system features a vapour cooling tube that is made of a large 8mm diameter copper tube. With this, the heat dissipation area is increased by 176.9% while the heat dissipation volume goes up to 410mm³. This means that the core temperature of the phone is reduced which in turn allows it to maintain a high level of performance and speed.
The memory configurations available on the Realme X3 are 6/128GB and 8/128GB. Whereas, the X3 Super Zoom comes in 8/128GB and 12/256GB options. Handling the software of the Realme X3 series is Google’s Android 10 OS customized with Realme UI.
Camera and Battery
The Realme X3 series sports a 64MP Quad camera system. Both phones share the same 64MP f/1.8 main lens, an 8MP ultrawide lens with 119° FoV and a 2MP f/2.4 macro lens with 4cm focal distance. The fourth on the Realme X3 is a 12MP telephoto lens with PDAF and 2X optical zoom. Whereas, the Realme X3 Super Zoom is equipped with an 8MP new periscope zoom lens and supports 0.5X to 60X wide zoom. There is also an Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) feature which stabilizes the zoomed preview, making it much easier to take clear and sharp photos even from far away distance like 100m.
In the front camera department, both devices sport a dual camera setup enclosed in a pill-shaped hole in the display. The Realme X3 has a 16MP f/2.0 wide-angle main lens with an 8MP f/2.2 ultrawide lens with 105° FoV. The Realme X3 Super Zoom also has the same secondary 8MP lens but is paired with a 32MP f/2.5 wide-angle main lens.
The Realme X3 duo packs a 4,300 mAh battery capacity and supports a 30W Dart Charge technology. It can go from 0-100% within 55 minutes of charge. The 30W Dart Charge technology provides a unique low-voltage and high-current solution. It also charges four times faster than a standard charger.
