The Redmi A2+ is the successor to last year’s Redmi A1+, and it comes with some upgrades. It has a 6.52-inch IPS LCD display with 720p resolution and an 81% screen-to-body ratio. The bezels around the display are noticeable, and it’s a budget device, so it is expected.
It can reach close to 500 nits of brightness outdoors, so you won’t struggle much to see the display. The display is also colorful and responsive to the touch.
It has a plastic build with a textured pattern at the back, giving it a good grip. There is a fingerprint scanner at the back with two cameras and a flashlight. The volume rocker is located on the right, and it’s easy to reach. It charges through a micro USB port, which I am not proud to mention right now.
The MediaTek Helio G36 powers the phone with 2 or 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage space. It will perform great for basic tasks, but you can’t use it for gaming or excessive task. The phone has a dedicated memory card slot for memory expansion because the 32 GB space is too small. It runs on Android 12 Go Edition, and MIUI 14 is the user interface.
The Redmi A2+ has two cameras at the back, including an 8MP primary camera and a 0.08MP depth lens. It has a 5MP selfie camera, and the image quality isn’t impressive. The Redmi A2+ isn’t a camera-centric phone. It’s only made for basic tasks.
It has a 5000mAh battery, one of the best features of the phone, and it can last for an entire day or more, depending on how you use it.
