Samsung Galaxy A9 2018 launched with Four Cameras at the back

The Samsung Galaxy A9 2018 has been launched and is officially the first phone with four cameras at the back. This comes barely a month after Samsung launched its first triple camera phone, the Galaxy A7 (2018).

The new Samsung Galaxy A9 2018 boasts four rear cameras, an 8MP ultra-wide angle camera that lets you capture more of the scene. The second is a 10MP telephoto camera that has 2x optical zoom over the main camera and captures 10MP images. The third is a 5MP depth-sensing camera that provides shots with artificial bokeh and finally, a 24MP main shooter with a bright f/1.7 lens, suitable for daylight and nighttime shots.

Design and Display

The Galaxy A9 2018 is made of a 3D curved glass. It measures 162.5 x 77 x 7.8 mm in dimension and weighs around 183g. asides, the four cameras at the back, there is a fingerprint reader as well. The Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) will be available in select markets early next month. It is available in three colours, Caviar Black, Lemonade Blue and Bubblegum Pink.

Display wise, the Galaxy A9 features a 6.3-inch Super AMOLED screen with an 18:9 aspect ratio. It has 1,080 x 2,220px resolution and since it is from Samsung, it does not come with a notch. You still get the Always on Display and at the front is the 24MP selfie camera (f/2.0).

Powering up the device is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660, an octa-core processor with a maximum clock speed of 2.2GHz. This is paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. You will be able to expand further to 512GB via Micro Sd card. The device runs on Android 8.1 oreo with features like Samsung Pay, Health and Bixby. In the battery end, there is a 3,800mAh battery with fast charging support.

As regards pricing and availability, there is no word from Samsung yet. The Samsung Galaxy A9 [2018 ] is a super mid-range device which is targeted at photography enthusiasts that cannot afford the Galaxy Note 9
