It has become more of a tradition that we get a new headphone along with a new S series phone(s). With the launching of the Samsung Galaxy S21 series comes the new Galaxy Buds Pro.
According to the company, the new pair offers even better ergonomics and longer listening times compared to its predecessors.
An important new feature of the Buds Pro is the active noise cancelling, which they claim to have a 99% ambient sound blockage. The headphones feature a 6.5mm tweeters which deliver crisp trebles and an 11mm woofers for a deeper sound.
There is now a dedicated VPU (Voice Pickup Unit) that separates your voice from the background noise by honing in on your voice and three microphones. The microphones are automatically always listening for your voice and ensures that background noise doesn’t interfere.
The Auto Switch feature is an interesting one. With it, you can connect two Samsung devices simultaneously. For example, you can use the Galaxy Buds Pro on your Samsung phone and tablet. If you’re watching a movie on the tablet and a call comes in on your phone, the Buds pro will automatically pause the movie and switch to your phone.
Each bud has a 61 mAh battery capacity that can last up to 5+ hours. Inside the charging case is a 472 mAh, with just 5 minutes of charging, you are guaranteed an hour of music playback.
The Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro is available in Phantom Silver, Phantom Violet and Phantom Black. Pre-order begins January 15 for €229 while availability starts from January 29.
