Samsung Galaxy J8 Full Specs Review

Samsung Galaxy J8 is the bigger brother of the J series that was launched recently by Samsung. The Galaxy J8 comes with enhanced and improved features compared to the J6. Apart from being bezel-less, it now comes with a dual rear camera.

Internally, there are a few changes as well. The screen has been expanded further by 0.4-inches, a Snapdragon chip and faster octa-core processor. There’s also a bigger battery capacity, clearer selfie camera and a single variant of 64GB storage and 4GB RAM. Want to know more? Stay with me.

Samsung Galaxy J8 Key Specs and Features

・6-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, 720 x 1480 pixels
・Android 8.0 Oreo with 4GB RAM
・Octa-core 1.8GHz Snapdragon 450
・64GB built-in storage, upgradeable up to 256GB
・16MP + 5MP rear camera and 16MP front camera
・3500mAh non-removable Li-Ion Battery

The design is quite the same with the J6, it sports the Plastic back with an aluminium frame. The dual shooters at the rear add to the beauty of the device, they are vertical at the top middle.

Then the fingerprint scanner comes underneath, giving you quick access to the device. While the LED flash sits beside the dual shooters and ready for night shoots. It supports dual nano SIMs and available in Black, Gold and Blue colours.

The screen still dishes out the same 18.5:9 aspect ratio just like the J6, but only taller. Additionally, the J8 gives you a much taller display and I thought the J8 would come with a notch, but it Samsung isn’t digging the trend.

The bigger 6-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen will be perfect for big screen lovers. But it still has the same features on the J6, there’s a resolution of 720 x 1480 pixels and 294 pixels per inch density as well.

Working underneath is the Snapdragon 450 chip from Qualcomm. The octa-core processor here runs at a fast pace of 1.8GHz with 14nm process technology. The Adreno 506 graphics processor controls graphics here.

The Samsung Galaxy J8 comes with a single variant in terms of storage and RAM. The 4GB RAM space should handle all your heavy multitasking. While the 64GB storage space accommodates your files, you can upgrade up to 256GB. The Samsung Galaxy J8 runs on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box.

The dual 16MP + 5MP rear shooters have f/1.7 and f/1.9 aperture respectively for crystal clear photographs. The cameras come with lots of Internal features to enhance your photography skills. The 16MP selfie camera comes with f/1.9 aperture and an adjustable front LED flash.

The Samsung Galaxy J8 is powered by a non-removable Li-Ion 3500mAh battery with fast charging technology.

Samsung Galaxy J8 is available on shopping stores, starting from $249 to $299, that’s about (N90,000 – N110,000).
