Samsung Unveils Galaxy S10e, S10 & S10+ with first HDR10+ Screens & ltrasonic FP readers.

Finally, the Galaxy S10 series has arrived. The arrival has put to an end to the various online speculations about the flagship. And it is worthy to note that the flagship arrived on the 10th anniversary of Samsung. That’s sounds amazing. It is a better way of celebrating the introduction of a new innovation in the tech world. Maybe some people might tag it “world’s first innovation”. All these innovations can be seen in the three variants of the Galaxy S10.

This time around, the super AMOLED display now have a big brother. The company introduced Dynamic AMOLED which succeeds the Super AMOLED and also the first HDR10+ compatible mobile display. Also, Samsung introduced the Wireless PowerShare (the Samsung for reverse wireless charging) in the three variants of the device which is the fastest wireless charging.

Looking at the camera, the front and the rear cameras can be used to record 4K video. The rear features super steady digital stabilization and can even be used to shoot HDR10+ footage. All the three models came with an ultra-wide camera – that’s a new addition to the company’s flagship line (but it has been featured in the A – series before). The punch hole of the infinity – O screen houses the selfie cameras. That seems amazing too.

Now let’s take a look at the specifications of the various models of the Samsung Galaxy S10 series.

Samsung Galaxy S10+

This is the King of the series and the most expensive model. It came with a 6.4 – inches curved Dynamic AMOLED display with 1440p+ resolution. VDE which is a big technical scientific organization that deals with electronics and IT tech have endorsed the image quality of the variant.

The ultrasonic fingerprint reader can be seen just behind the screen of the phone. The top right corner of the device houses the punch hole camera. It records 4K videos and takes 10MP selfies with complete depth sensing – that is made possible by the secondary 8MP selfie snapper.

The device will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset or the Samsung Exynos 9820 chipset – depending on the region.  The device also came with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage which can be expanded to 512GB with a microSD card (note that the dual sim model came with a hybrid slot). Also, there is a premium version of the device which came with 12GB RAM and 1TB internal storage.

The battery capacity of the device is 4,100mAh which you can charge with the normal Adaptive fast charging wired tech (15W, QC 2.0 compatible) or you can still make use of the improved fast wireless charging 2.0 (Q1 and PMA compatible).

The device also features Wireless PowerShare which can be used to charge wearables and other mobile phones right from your Galaxy S10+. That sounds crazy but the feature is real. Even at that, the phone can be your wireless charging pad when a wired charger is plugged. It is one thing you will need to take along when going on vacations. Also, there is another special version that will feature a ceramic exterior. It will only be available in White and Black colours.

Samsung Galaxy S10

Its features are almost the same with the S10+ but with slightly few changes. It packs a 6.1 – inches screen and uses the same Dynamic AMOLED tech. It still features the ultrasonic fingerprint reader. There is only one selfie camera but it retains important features like the 10MP selfie camera and the 4K video support.

Samsung Galaxy S10

The rear is similar. It features 12MP main camera (f1.5 and f/2.4) with OIS, 12MP telephoto with OIS and 16MP ultra-wide-angle camera.

It still has the same chip that was used in the  S10+. The phone came with 8GB RAM but with 128GB or 512GB internal storage. The battery capacity is 3,400mAh but with the same wireless charging functions.

Samsung Galaxy S10e

The Galaxy S10e features a flat screen which makes it the first Samsung flagship with the screen after the Galaxy S7. It is still the same Dynamic AMOLED panel but with a smaller screen. It came with a 5.8 – inches screen with HDR+ support and a resolution of 1080p+. There is no in – display fingerprint scanner in this model. The device features two cameras at the back – there is no telephoto module so it came with only 12MP main cam and another 16MP ultra-wide-angle camera. It came with the same selfie camera that was used in the S10 – 10MP /4K module.

Samsung Galaxy S10e

The phone came with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage but there is still another option of 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. It depends on the one you want. And the battery capacity is 3,100mAh with fast wired and wireless charging and with Wireless PowerShare feature.

All the three modules came with LTE connectivity with speeds up to 2Gbps. The models also have support for the new Wi-Fi 6 standard for up to 1.2Gbps local connection, with an addition of the Samsung pay with NFC and MST. At the bottom of the three models is the 3.5mm headphone jack. We think most people will be happy with that.

The models came with IP68 enabled and the hardware backs the secured storage with Knox. The pre-ordering of the three models starts today. Most of the selected markets will get either the S10 or the S10+. And if you order early, you stand the chance to get a free pair of Galaxy Buds (which is sold for $130 differently).

Remember that the phone features another advanced model – the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G that comes with more advanced features. We talked about the model before.
