Sony Xperia 10 is the newest mid-range from Sony which was unveiled alongside the Xperia 10 Plus at the ongoing MWC 2019 in Barcelona. The new mid-range has a 6.0-inch IPS LCD display with the new 21:9 aspect ratio and not notch. It has 3GB or 4GB of RAM Depending on the market and 64GB of expandable storage. Sony Xperia 10 Design And Display
The Sony Xperia 10 has a 6.0-inch 1080p+ IPS LCD display which is covered with a Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It has a Pixel per inch density of 457 and an aspect ratio of 21:9, similar to the on the Xperia 1 which has more bezel at the top than at the bottom.
The huge top bezel houses the front-facing camera, speaker grill and other sensors. A dual camera setup sits at the back of the device with an LED flash on top. There is also no fingerprint sensor at the back, neither is it underneath the display – it is mounted on the side of the device. The weight of the Xperia 10 stands at 162 grams while thickness is at 8.4mm with Black, Navy, Silver and Pink as the colour options. It also had a single SIM SIM and Hybrid Dual SIM model.
Sony Xperia 10 Camera Review
Sony Xperia 10 has a 13MP shooter with an f/2.0 aperture and PDAF paired with a secondary 5MP sensor with an f/2.4 aperture at the rear, both of which are wide angle cameras. They are also equipped with an LED flash HDR, Panorama and can shoot both 4k and 1080p videos at 30fps. The single front-facing 8MP camera with an f/2.0 aperture can also shoot 1080p videos at 30fps.
Sony Xperia 10 Hardware and Software
Inside the Sony Xperia 10, is the Snapdragon 630 SoC; a 14nm based chipset with an octa-core processor clocking speeds of up to 2.2GHz alongside an Adreno 508 GPU. It has 3GB of RAM (4GB of RAM for the China model only) and 64GB of expandable internal storage. The Hybrid second SIM slot is also a MicroSD card slot that can accommodate up to 512GB. It also runs Android 9.0 Pie out of the box, with Sony’s UI on top of course.
Battery & Network Connectivity
The rather small 2,870mAh battery comes with an 18W fast charging with support for Quick Charge 3.0 and USB PD. No wireless charging here. There is also no 5G but there is 4G LTE, Bluetooth, Dual-band WiFi, WiFi hotspot, WiFi direct, GPS, NFC, FM radio, a 3.5mm jack and a USB Type-C port.
