Design

The TECNO Camon 12 is made from a shining polycarbonate material which looks so much like the Phantom 9. In terms of thickness,  it measures 8.2 mm and weighs around 164g.

Unlike the Camon 12 Pro, the Camon 12 has the fingerprint sensor at the back which provides easy access to lock the device. Just like it Camon 12 Pro, the Camon 12 has a dedicated button that provides easy access to Google assistance.

Display

on the display front, the device features a 6.52-inch LCD screen with 720 *1600 pixels resolution. The touchscreen allows up to 5 fingers. Overall, the display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, which isn’t bad for a budget device.

Hardware and Software

On the hardware side of things, the Camon 12 is blessed with the MediaTek Helio P22 SoC an octa-core processor built on a 12nm FINFET technology. The chip features PowerVR GE8320 and Octa-core (4×2.0 GHz Cortex-A53 & 4×1.8 GHz Cortex-A53) processor. The Infinix Hot 8 smartphone, also uses the same processor.

The Camon 12 comes only in 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, but you can always extend this further using a MicroSD slot which allows up to 500GB storage. The Camon 12 runs on HiOS 5.0 custom skin which is based on Android 9.0 Pie.

Camera

Camera-wise, you get a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 16MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide sensor and 2MP depth sensor for taking background blurring photos. The rear camera is enhanced further with four-LED flash for illuminating the darkest of environment.

Battery

The Camon 12 sports a non-removable Li-Ion 4,000 mAh battery. There is no support wireless charging and fast charging as well.
