Tecno F2 Full Specs and Features Review

TECNO F2 was launched alongside the TECNO F1, Pop1 and the Camon X in Lagos, during TECNO Mobile global launch to target first time Android users. The device was meant to be the upgraded version of the F1, coming with bigger RAM space. In Nigeria, you will be able to purchase the TECNO F2 from N21,000 to N23,000.

Apart from the RAM space, lots of features were added as well. First of all, it runs on the Android 7.0 Nougat unlike the F1 and has the Split Screen feature which lets you watch movies and chat at the same time.

DESIGN

There’s no difference in terms of design here, compared to it’s younger brother. They both sport the same removable Plastic back with the same colours available as well. I was hoping the F2 would come with a fingerprint scanner at least, but that’s not the case here.

In terms of the rear camera and LED flash placement, all the smartphones released by TECNO sports the same design. The device will be available in Champagne Gold, Ice Blue, Dark Blue and Elegant Black colours. Measuring the same 9.7mm in thickness.

DISPLAY

I think it’s obvious there’s no difference between the F1 and F2 in terms of design and display. This is more of an F1 Pro or F1 Plus kinda phone.

Still sports three navigation buttons at the bottom bezel, while the top houses the usual features. Dishing out standard display is still the same 5-inch FWVGA IPS capacitive touchscreen with 854 x 480 pixels in resolution.

HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE

The TECNO F series is “built for speed”, the F2 is powered by a MediaTek chip with 4-cores processor and 32-bit CPU architecture. The Quad-core processor on the device runs at a speed of 1.3GHz with 28nm process technology offering speedy performance.

Since this is an entry-level device, you get just 1GB RAM space with 8GB internal storage which you can upgrade up to 32GB through a MicroSD card.

CAMERA

In terms of photography, the 5MP rear shooter has a dual-LED flash and other quality features. The dual-LED will bring out all your photos taken in a low light environment. The 2MP selfie camera will take cute selfies than other 2MP shooters. It has a soft LED flash for selfies and video calls in dark places.

BATTERY

The TECNO F2 is powered by a removable Li-Ion 2000mAh battery with fast no charging technology.
