Recently we talked about the Tecno Phantom V Fold device from Tecno, and we even shared some images. There are rumors that the phone will be ready for global markets on the 28th of February.
A new hands-on video of the phone has surfaced on the internet, showing more clarity about the device. It has cleared any doubts regarding the upcoming foldable phone from Tecno. There is a large circular camera module at the back housing three cameras and an LED flashlight. The color showcased in the video is more of a cream color model, but we have yet to see other color variants.
It has a large display though we don’t know the official size and display technology yet. There is a selfie camera on the inner and outer display, but we don’t know the camera’s resolution just yet. The Phantom V fold looks thick, and it has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. There are also two speakers on the phone, and hopefully, they sound better than the Tecno Phantom X2 Pro.
The Video also shows what the operating system looks like. It is exciting to see Tecno working on a foldable phone for 2023. Foldable phones haven’t dominated the smartphone scene, with Samsung taking the lion’s share of the revenue from foldable phones. They are currently the only brand that makes its foldable phones available globally. It is also surprising to see Tecno developing a foldable phone ahead of brands like OnePlus and Apple.
Tecno Phantom V Fold Pricing Expectations
Hopefully, Tecno will keep their foldable phone at a reasonable price. Going by what we saw with the Phantom X2 and X2 Pro pricing, I expect it to be close to $1000, but it will depend on the region.
