Design And Display
Tecno Pop 2F has a pretty basic design which is expected for a budget device. The back is made of plastic as expected and comes in three colour options Champagne Gold, Midnight Black and City Blue. A fingerprint sensor as well as a rear camera with an LED flash all take up spaces at the back of the device. Turning over to the front reveals the 5.5-inch IPS LCD display with a 960 x 480 screen resolution in an 18:9 aspect ratio, leaving quite a top and bottom bezel. The top bezel is occupied by the front facing camera and an LED flash.
It also has a dual SIM card slot with no support for 4G LTE. There is a seperate dedicated MicroSD card slot for storage expansion of up to 128GB of additional storage.
TECNO Pop 2F Camera Review
A single 8MP shooter is at the back of the TECNO Pop 2F with an LED flash for low light shots. For selfies, there is a 5MP camera located at the top bezel with an LED flash that does the job, it can also be used for face Unlock if you fancy that.
Hardware and Software
At the heart of the TECNO Pop 2F smartphone is a MediaTek MT6580 SoC which has a Quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz paired with an Mali GPU for games and graphics. For multitasking, there is 1GB of RAM which runs the Go edition of the Android 8.1 Oreo operating system very well. TECNO also layered the operating system with their own HiOS 3.3 Lite Skin which is an Android Skin for TECNO devices running the Go edition of the Android operating system. As for storage, there is 16GB of internal storage and dedicated MicroSD card slot for additional of more storage, up to 128GB.
Battery and Connectivity
A small 2,400mAh battery powers this device with no word on fast charging. Thee is also no 4G LTE either. However, other features like WiFi, WiFi hotspot, Bluetooth, GPS, a 3.5mm jack and a microUSB port are all present.
TECNO Pop 2F Price and Availability
No word on pricing yet but it is expected to be between N25,000 to N26,000 when it finally goes on sale.
