Late last month, Tecno Mobile released two Spark smartphones – Tecno Spark Go and Spark 4 Air.
Now, they have a new and third Spark phone in the space of a month – Spark 4. The Tecno Spark 4 is the senior siblings to the two that were released earlier and a direct successor of the TECNO Spark 3.
The TECNO Spark 4 comes with a bigger display, better battery, triple rear camera and all-round features.

Design
The design or rather body build of the Spark 4 is pretty basic. It comes with front glass and plastic unibody. The front features a waterdrop notch display while the back is home to a fingerprint reader and triple camera setup.
The phone is available in Royal Purple, Vacation Blue and Majestic Purple colour options.
Display
The display of the Spark 4 measures 6.52 inches in size. It features a 20:9 aspect ratio, 450nits brightness, 90% screen-to-body ratio and HD resolution. This large HD display will be attractive to a movie or game lovers.
Hardware and Software
Under the hood, is a MediaTek Helio A22 SoC with Quad-Core CPU. The chipset is coupled with RAM options of 2GB, 3GB and 4GB. The Nigerian market gets the 2GB RAM variant while the Indian market gets the 3GB and 4GB variant.
Storage options available are 32GB and 64GB, and there is room for additional storage via microSD slot. The Spark 4 runs on Android 9 Pie which is based on Tecno’s HiOS 5.5 skin.
Camera
The TECNO Spark 4 houses a triple rear camera module comprises of a 13MP f/1.8 main sensor along with 2MP depth and low-light sensors.
The camera features include custom bokeh, AI HDR, PDAF, eight scene modes, AR Stickers, AI Beauty, panorama and dual-LED flash.
The selfie camera on the other side, features an 8MP shooter with Portrait Mode, in-built AR Stickers, AI Beauty Mode, and Wide-Selfie Mode features.
The Spark 4 can record video in 1080P @30 frame per seconds.
Battery
Battery-wise, the Tecno Spark 4 comes with a non-removable Li-Ion 4,000 mAh. There is no word on fast charging support, my guess will be that such a feature isn’t available for the device.
Tecno Spark 4 Price in Nigeria
The Nigerian market will only get the 2GB/32GB memory variant of the Tecno Spark 4. This model will be available in the country with a price range of between N36,000-N38,000 Naira.
