In this post, I will be compiling the best TECNO Spark Series phones. The TECNO Spark Smartphone lines are smartphones with amazing camera capabilities aimed at the youthful folks who want to take their photography or selfie game to the next level without breaking the banks.

TECNO Spark Series are TECNO’s super affordable devices with an awesome design. These devices are powered by MediaTek low-end processors to keep the prices at a reasonable level. TECNO Spark (K7)

TECNO Spark K7 was unveiled about a year ago alongside the Spark Plus K9 as the first smartphones in the spark Series. TECNO Spark K7 comes with a 5.5-inch 720p IPS LCD display with a 16:9 aspect ratio. The body of the device is made of plastic. A 5MP camera sits in front for selfies while a 13MP camera sits at the back, both with LED flash.

It is also equipped with a fingerprint sensor placed at the back for Biometric Authentication. It has a MediaTek Quad-Core SoC on the Inside which is paired with either 1GB or 2GB of RAM with 16GB of expandable storage. It runs Android 7.0 Nougat covered with HIOS 2.0 out of the box and has a 3,000mAh battery that powers the device. There is no 4G LTE connectivity here.

TECNO Spark Pro (K8)

TECNO Spark Pro is the pro version to the original TECNO Spark with slight modification to its specifications. TECNO Spark Pro has 4G LTE which was missing in the previous models with the selfie camera now with an 8MP shooter as opposed to the 5MP on the K7. Asides from these two changes, all other aspects of the device remains the same as the K7. It has a 5.5-inch display, 1GB/2GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable storage, 13MP rear camera, a 3,000mAh battery and runs HIOS 2.0 which is based on Android 7.0 Nougat.

TECNO Spark Plus (K9)

TECNO Spark Plus K9 which arrived alongside the standard Spark K7 aimed to provide a better battery. This was for those who considered the Spark K7’s 3,000mAh battery to be small. Spark Plus K9 upped the battery here to 3,400mAh which is basically the only change where the Plus in its name comes from. Everything else still remains the same with Spark K7 which includes a MediaTek MT6580 SoC, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a 5.5-inch display, 13MP rear camera, 5MP selfie camera, a fingerprint sensor and runs Android 7.0 Nougat with TECNO’s HIOS 2.0 Skin on top.

TECNO Spark CM

Tecno Spark CM was the Spark device to sport the trendy 18:9 aspect ratio which increased the display to 5.7-inch. The device was not launched here in Nigeria but was available in other markets outside of Africa. Asides from this and the addition of a quad-LED flash to the 13MP rear camera, everything else remained the same.

It has the same MediaTek MT6737 SoC found on the Spark K8. There is 2GB of RAM, 16GB of inbuilt storage, fingerprint sensor at the back, an 8MP selfie camera with an LED flash and a 3,050mAh battery the powers the device. It also runs Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box with TECNO’s HIOS slapped on top.

TECNO Spark 2

TECNO Spark 2 is the latest iteration in the Spark Series and still retains the 18:9 aspect found on the previous Spark CM. Hopefully, the Spark 3 Should be introduced soon. The new Spark 2 has a 6.0-inch IPS LCD display and a bigger 3,500mAh battery capacity. It also runs the Go edition of the Android 8.1 Oreo operating system which has TECNO’s HIOS Skin on top. There is a 1GB and 2GB RAM model, both with 16GB of internal storage which can be expandable via a microSD up to 64GB. It has the same MediaTek MT6580 on the inside and a combination of a 13MP + 5MP cameras at the back and at the front respectively.

TECNO recently added a new smartphone to the Spark Lineup under the name “TECNO Spark 3” which comes in two different models, have some similar features but are different. They both have 6.2-inch Fullview display with a notch, a 13MP +2MP rear camera, 8MP front-facing camera, 16GB of expandable storage and a 3,5000mAh battery capacity.
