Top smartphones expected to be launched at MWC this February

This post is about all the top smartphones expected at MWC 2018. The Mobile World Congress is holding this February, from the 26th of February to the 1st of March 2018. The event which is known to be the biggest annual mobile event in the world is back. The MWC will take place in Barcelona and will be as busy as ever.

Tech enthusiasts will fill the MWC to get a glimpse of brand new smartphones. Yes, lots of smartphones would be unveiled and launched at the MWC and we can’t wait to see them. Out of all the phones launching at the MWC, there are specific phones people are talking about. Photos of these top smartphones have already been leaked, and lots of specs assumption made. Here, I will be listing out the top smartphones expected at MWC 2018.

1. Samsung Galaxy S9, S9 Plus

No doubt the most talked about smartphone in the first quarter of 2018 and if everything works according to plan, the Samsung S9 and S9 Plus are one of the top smartphones expected at MWC 2018. The Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus would be launched at the Unpacked Event by Samsung, a day before MWC. According to an invitation sent out by Samsung, the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus would be unveiled on February 25th.

Furthermore, the Galaxy S9 is rumoured to come in a 5.7-inch bezel-less display. While the Galaxy S9 Plus boasts of a 6.2-inch bezel-less display. The phones are expected to house the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, but we ain’t certain. Samsung might also launch a tablet with the flagships, just like they did last year.

2. Sony Xperia XZ Pro

The XZ Pro should be the first smartphone from Sony to sport the dual rear camera feature according to speculation. We are first to reveal the schematic of the upcoming Sony flagship. And Judging from the specs of the device, the Xperia XZ Pro is no doubt of the top smartphones expected at MWC 2018. The phone might even be bezel-less, which is also the first from Sony. The OLED display on the XZ Pro will also be one of its highlights if rumours are anything to go by.

3. Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S

When it comes to quality smartphones at an affordable price tag, Xiaomi is a known force to be reckoned with. The update to the Mi Mix 2 will also be launched at the MWC this February.

Although there were initial rumours that Xiaomi will be launching the Mi 7 at this year’s MWC. But it seems the company postponed the Mi 7 launch for later, nevertheless, nothing short is to be expected.

4. Vivo X20 Plus UD

According to Vivo, this is the first smartphone with the in-display fingerprint scanner ever and no doubt one of the innovative and top smartphones expected at MWC 2018. The device was announced at the CES last month, and the whole world went crazy about it.

Although the phone is already official in China but would make its first Europe debut at the MWC. Apart from having a 6.43-inch HD+ screen with an in-display fingerprint sensor, it houses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset.

5. Nokia 9

There’s an 80% chance you’ve used a Nokia phone before and the company keeps getting better with time. Nokia 9 should make an appearance at the MWC alongside Nokia 6 (2018), Nokia 3310 4G and Nokia 1.

6. Motorola Moto G6

This should be the first bezel-less display smartphone from Moto, with 18:9 aspect ratio. That’s if the leaked specs and renders about the Moto G6 are anything to go by. The Moto E5 could also make an official appearance as well, sporting a rear fingerprint sensor that doubles with the Motorola logo.

7. Asus Zenfone 5 Max

Asus flagship smartphone will make an appearance as well on the 27th of February at the MWC. The Taiwanese company has already sent out tickets for the event to unveil the Zenfone 5 Max. The phone also houses a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset if the rumours are anything to go by.

8. Vivo Xplay 7

According to speculations, the Xplay 7 should be the first phone with 10GB RAM for a faster experience. The phone will insanely be fast, as it houses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset as well. Furthermore, the smartphone will also come with an in-display fingerprint sensor just like the Vivo X20 Plus UD.

Conclusion

Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus from Samsung seems to be the most talked about phones. But personally, I can’t wait to see what Vivo have up their sleeves. Their supposedly record-breaking features definitely caught my attention, I think they’re in for the win. Which phones are you looking forward to?
