Umidigi S3 Pro is yet another powerful midranger from Umidigi which is kind of a mix of Umidigi F1 and Umidigi F1 Play but with a more powerful MediaTek SoC – MediaTek Helio P70 and improvements on various parts of the device.

Design And Display

Umidigi S3 Pro is made of a luxurious ceramic design with aerospace-grade aluminium alloy frame along the sides. The back has the dual rear cameras, LED flash and a fingerprint sensor on it with the Umidigi Logo toward to the bottom. At the front is the beautiful and big 6.3-inch IPS LCD display with FHD+ resolution.

It uses the 19:9 aspect ratio with a water drop style notch cutout to house the front-facing camera. The chin bezels are also minimal here. This device weighs 217grams, measures 8.5mm in thickness and comes in just one colour – Black. Umidigi S3 Pro uses a Hybrid SIM slot so it’s either Two SIM cards or One SIM card and One MicroSD card.

At the back of the Umidigi S3 Pro is the main 48MP shooter with an f/1.7 aperture accompanied by a secondary 12MP telephoto lens with a dual-LED flash in between the two cameras. The rear camera is capable of shooting 4k and 1080p videos at 30fps. The single front-facing 20MP selfies camera can also shoot 1080p videos at 30fps. Face Unlock, also known as FaceID is also available here thanks to the front-facing camera.

Performance

The MediaTek Helio P70 drives this device with its 8 cores processor having a clocking speed of up to 2.1GHz alongside an ARM Mali-G72 MP3 GPU which can reach up to 900MHz.

6GB of RAM running in dual channel takes care of multitasking with 128GB of storage space for files. Additional storage can also be added in the form of a microSD card, up to 256GB however, you’ll have to sacrifice one SIM slot since it uses Hybrid SIM setup – Two SIMs or One SIM and One MicroSD card. It also runs stock Android 9.0 Pie out of the box.
