Vernee V2 is a rugged device that’s bezel-less from Vernee, the company that is also planning to launch the Apollo 2. The new device packs a punch and retails like an ordinary midrange smartphone.

Vernee V2 DESIGN
First of all, it is IP68 certified offering both dust and water resistant. The phone was made of Plastic and Metal, and what a perfect combination that is. It’s elegant and strong as well, the dual rear camera at the back also adds to the beauty. Below the dual shooters, there’s a fingerprint scanner for easy access to the phone and private apps.
Moving to the sides, the phone is bulky just like I expected. A rugged smartphone with huge battery capacity, it measures 11.2 mm in thickness but surprisingly it weighs just 178g. It’s only available in black colour, with a touch of red by the side. I think other bright colours would have done much justice to its sleek body.
VERNEE V2 DISPLAY
We don’t see this pretty often, a rugged device that’s bezel-less. Although the bezels are still there but Vernee really did their best here. The top bezel is busy with the dual selfie camera, LED flash, speaker grille and ambient light sensor. While the bottom bezel is kinda useless though.
Focusing on the screen, 5.99-inch FHD+ IPS capacitive touchscreen is crystal clear and works underwater. It boasts of 1080 × 2160 pixels in resolution and 403 pixels per inch density for immersive visuals. Protecting the strong screen is a Corning Gorilla Glass, making the screen scratch resistant.
HARDWARE and SOFTWARE
Under the hood is the MediaTek Helio P23 MT6763V chipset with Octa-core processor. The processor reaches a clock speed of 2.0 GHz, it has a 64-bit CPU architecture and 16nm process technology. Handling graphics is the ARM Mali-G71 MP2 graphics processor with Dual-Cores, reaching a maximum speed of 700MHz.
It runs smoothly on Android 8.0 Oreo as you get to enjoy the Oreo experience. Gamers have nothing to worry about, the 6GB RAM on this device can handle all your heavy games and multitasking. It has a memory speed of 1.6 GHz for smooth multitasking. Store all files and games in the 64GB storage space, which of course is upgradeable up to 128GB.
VERNEE V2 CAMERA
Four cameras are on this device for everything photography, at the back there’s a 13MP + 5MP shooter with f/2.0 aperture. Both cameras will work together to capture 4K resolution images. It has a dual-LED flash and other quality features to make the photographs dimension as high as 4160 x 3120 pixels. At the front, there’s another 8MP + 5MP selfie camera with LED flash and facial recognition.
BATTERY
The V2 smartphone from Vernee is powered by a Non-Removable Li-Po 5800mAh battery. It comes with the fast charging feature as well, with a charging duration of about 2.5 hours tops.
