Vivo V17 Pro is Vivo’s attempt to bring as many features of flagships down to the mid-range segment. This device is definitely a midrange device however it is up there with the top dogs when it comes to features.
It is packed with flagship-level full edge-to-edge 6.44-inch Super AMOLED display with an in-display fingerprint sensor, motorized pop-up cameras and a Quad camera setup at the back.

Vivo V17 Pro Design And Display
Vivo v17 Pro has a very beautiful design. The body is made of glass, Corning gorilla glass 6 to be exact which is also what is at the front, on top of the display with a plastic frame around it. Speaking of the display, it is a 6.44-inch Super AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 19:9 aspect along with a fingerprint sensor underneath. The display also doesn’t have any notch or punch hole housing the front-facing camera.
The front-facing camera here, which is a dual-camera setup, is in a motorized compartment that slides out when needed and goes back inside when not in use. At the back are four cameras with an LED flash. Overall, this device weighs 201.8grams and measures 9.8mm in thickness. Colour options here for this device are Crystal Black, Crystal Sky and Midnight Ocean, all which look amazing underneath that glass.

Vivo V17 Pro has a lot of cameras, six in total; four at the rear and two in the motorized pop-up compartment at the top. The ones in the motorized pop-up compartment consist of a main 32MP camera with an f/2.0 aperture and a secondary 8MP ultrawide camera. It is equipped with HDR and can shoot 1080p videos at 30fps.
At the rear, we have a 48MP main camera with an f/1.8 aperture and PDAF, an 8MP ultrawide camera with an f/2.2 aperture, a 13MP telephoto camera with PDAF and 2x optical zoom and lastly, a 2MP depth sensor for depth sensing in portrait mode shots.
The rear camera is also equipped with an LED flash, HDR, Panorama and can shoot both 2160p and 1080p videos at 30fps.
Hardware and Software
Inside the Vivo V17 Pro is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC; a Chipset based on the 11nm process technology with an octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz paired with an Adreno 612 GPU for games. It also has 8GB of RAM alongside 128GB of internal storage.
Unfortunately, there is no microSD card slot here neither is there another variant with more storage so 128GB is the highest for this device. As expected for the software side, it is running vivo’s Funtouch OS 9.1 out of the box which is based on Android 9.0 Pie.
Battery and Connectivity
There is a 4,100mAh battery inside the Vivo V17 Pro keeping the lights turned on. It also supports fast charging of up to 18W through its USB Type-C port.
