Vivo X23 was unveiled in China today. The smartphone was introduced alongside the V11 and V11 Pro we reviewed earlier. It’s powered by a Snapdragon 670 chip with Artificial Intelligence.
It also supports the trendy in-display fingerprint scanner just like the V11 and V11 Pro. There’s a massive 8GB RAM space available, Super AMOLED water-drop display and dual rear camera

Design And Display
The X23 looks absolutely stunning and definitely one of the most attractive smartphones from Vivo we’ve seen in a while. It has a metal frame that offers a premium feel, thanks to the 3D rear glass.
Vivo also stressed that the smartphone was crafted with thousands of silk ridges on a diaphragm of less than 80cm2 with plasma polishing. It measures 7.47mm in thickness and weighs 160.5g.
The Vivo X23 comes with the trendy water-drop display, this is exactly the same kind of screen on the V11 and V11 Pro. Nonetheless, it supports the in-display fingerprint scanner and lets you unlock the phone with ease. The front is built around a 6.4-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels and 394 pixels per inch density for sharp visuals. The screen also stretches up to 88.3% screen-to-body ratio.
Hardware and Software
Vivo X23 is powered by the Snapdragon 670 chip from Qualcomm. The chip was built on a newer 10nm process technology with an 8-core processor that is clocked at a speed of 2.0GHz as well. This is paired with the Adreno 615 graphics processing unit.
You now get to launch multiple apps and multitask with ease. The phone is loaded with 8GB of RAM to handle all heavy apps and games. While for storage, there’s a standard 128GB internal storage space, although you can expand up to 256GB. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo as well.
Camera And Connectivity
There’s an AI-powered dual 12MP + 13MP cameras with f/1.8 + f/2.4 aperture respectively. The cameras boast trendy features like AI beauty, AI scene detection, AR stickers, portrait mode, LED flash and others. While the 13MP selfie shooter which is located in the tiny notch supports Face Unlock.
The Vivo X23 supports 4G LTE connectivity and accommodates dual Nano SIMs and a microSD card. It also has support for Bluetooth 4.2, USB Type C, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Hotspot and A-GPS, GLONASS.
Battery And Availability
The Vivo X23 is powered by a non-removable 3400mAh battery with fast charging technology. Vivo X23 will be available on shopping stores, starting from $499 to $549, that’s about (N180,000 – N200,000).
