Wiko View 2 Go Full Specs and Review

Wiko View 2 Go was also introduced alongside the View 2 Plus as the watered-down variant. The devices were launched in Berlin during the IFA 2018. The View 2 Go sports a single rear camera compared unlike the View 2 we reviewed earlier.

Internally, it’s powered by the Snapdragon 430 chip with octa-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz. You also get just 3GB RAM and 32GB storage space here as well. Let’s find out about the Wiko View 2 Go specs.

Wiko View 2 Go Specs and Features

・5.93-inch HD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, 720 x 1528 pixels
・Android 8.1 Oreo with 3GB RAM
・Octa-core 1.4GHz Snapdragon 430
・32GB built-in storage
・12MP rear camera and 5MP front camera
・4000mAh non-removable Battery

Design And Display

The View 2 Go comes in an extra Red colour to compliment the Gold, Black and Purple gradient colours. There’s no fingerprint scanner in sight, users will have to depend on the Face Unlock feature.

At the top left corner, we can only see a single rear camera with the LED flash underneath. It measures just 8.5 mm in thickness and weighs less at 160g overall. It will be available in Gold, Black, Red and Purple gradient feel.

Just like its bigger sibling, the View 2 Go sports the notch display as well. However, the bottom chin is still very thick and unattractive. Looks like they wanted to go for an 18:9 display, till they got to the top. It sports the same 5.93-inch HD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 720 x 1528 pixels and 285 pixels per inch density for sharp visuals. The screen also stretches up to 78.16% screen-to-body ratio.

Hardware and Software

The Snapdragon 430 chipset from Qualcomm sits behind the wheels here. Even though it comes with an older 28nm process node, it is an 8-core processor with a clock speed of up to 1.4GHz offering smooth performance. There’s an Adreno 505 handling graphics.

For multitasking, you get a smaller 3GB RAM space available. This should be more than enough to handle light apps. The internal storage space has been reduced a bit as well to 32GB, nonetheless, you can still expand up to 256GB as well using a memory card. It runs on the latest Android 8.1 Oreo as well.

Camera, Network And Connectivity

For photography, Wiko removed one of the dual shooters we saw on the View 2 Plus. You only get a single 12MP rear camera here. Basically, a Sony IMX486 Exmor sensor with f/2.2 aperture, 1.25 μm pixel size and 1/2.9″ sensor size. While the 5MP selfie camera supports Face Unlock.

The View 2 Go supports 4G LTE connectivity and accommodates dual Nano SIMs. It also has support for Bluetooth 4.2, USB 2.0, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Hotspot and A-GPS, GLONASS.

Battery, Price And Availability

The Wiko View 2 Go is powered by a non-removable 4000mAh battery with fast charging technology. Wiko View 2 Go price will start from $199 to $249, that’s about (N70,000 – N85,000).
