World Emoji Day: Apple Commemorates the Day with an Emoji Representation of its top Executives

Today Tuesday is World Emoji Day. World Emoji Day is an unofficial holiday celebrated on July 17. Emoji has made conversation with friends and family interesting. Some of us cannot do without emoji in our every day’s life, it has become part of us.

Apple, Maker of iPhone (one of the brands that promotes the use of emojis) is in the spirit of the celebration. And What better way to celebrate this than to create a Memoji of its top executives.  As evident from Apple’s website, all the executives listed on its leadership page has been completely redesigned with memoji Face. This includes Tim Cook, Angela Ahrendts, Jony Ive, Eddy Cue, Craig Federighi, Luca Maestri and Phil Schiller.

You might ask what is a Memoji?

Memoji is a new feature that was integrated into iOS 12. With this, users can create a customizable Animoji for themselves. It works by scanning your face with the help of a TrueDepth 3D camera clusters. Allowing you chose 3D characteristics such as eyewear, facial hair, skin, hairstyle, and much more.

Currently, only the iPhone X from the list the of latest iPhones has a TrueDepth 3D camera. The camera is placed on the notched cut-out on the iPhone X

According to Apple: More than 70 new emoji characters will arrive on iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Mac later this year. This will be delivered via a free software update.

The new emoji will come with a more realistic representation of people with red hair, grey hair, curly hair as well as a new emoji for bald people.
