The date for the launching of the long-awaited Mi 9 has finally been confirmed. Ever since the device was revealed in January with codename “Cepheus”, the device has been making waves online. Rumours have been spreading online about the device. But finally, we have now gotten official information about the device. A teaser post by the company co-owner Lei Jun revealed that the device will be launched on February 20.
Also, a photo with Roy Wang from TF Boys holding the Mi 9 was posted via the company’s Weibo account. The post revealed three cameras at the back of the device.
The triple camera of the Mi 9 will be in a vertical form and the top snapper will have a colourful accent around it. Maybe it will look like LED light but might still be a colourful piece of glass. The LED flash is positioned under the shooter in the set-up of the device. And the power key and volume rocker will be housed in the right side but there is a physical button in the left side which might likely be the trigger for the smart assistant Xiaomi.
The device will likely come with 27W faster charging since Lei Jun have previously revealed in the past that the device will come with faster charging than the Redmi Note 7’s 18W – that’s if the information from 3C is correct.
We are hoping that the device will come with Snapdragon 855 chipset with the X24 modem. It might come with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage with a price tag of CYN2,999 ($436/€383)
