Xiaomi Mi Max 3 Design

Just like the Max 2, it sports an aluminium alloy overall unibody just the way Xiaomi likes them. It also has dual antenna lines and reflects light in the most stunning way. The fingerprint scanner still sits in the usual position.

At the top left corner, we can see how Xiaomi loves the trendy iPhone X-like dual camera, as the company integrated it on the Max 3. It measures 8mm in thickness and weighs 221g overall. It will be available in Gold and Matte Black.

The 6.9-inch FHD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen boasts of 1080 x 2160 pixels in resolution and 350 pixels per inch density. The screen stretches up to 79.8% screen-to-body ratio with the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top for protection.

Hardware and Software

The new AI-powered Snapdragon 636 chip from Qualcomm runs the show here. The chip was built on a 14nm process technology so power efficiency should be on par with most flagships. It has 8-cores of processor clocking at 1.8GHz, while the Adreno 509 graphics card handles graphics.

There will be two versions in terms of storage and RAM space, there will be an expensive variant with 128GB storage and 6GB RAM. While the standard version should come with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage space. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with MIUI 10 skin.

Camera

The dual 12MP + 5MP combination at the rear should capture stunning photographs. The 12MP shooter on top has f/2.0 aperture, 1/2.55″ sensor size and 1.4µm pixel size. While the 5MP telephoto camera has PDAF and helps in Bokeh mode. There’s a dual-LED dual-tone flash in-between the cameras.

Other features include geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR and panorama. It shoots 4K videos @30fps, while the 8MP selfie camera has f/2.0 aperture and should support Face ID.
