The Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro+ is an upgrade from the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ and it was officially announced in China yesterday. It comes with a premium glass build as usual and it also has IP53 dust and splash resistance. The phone has three cameras at the back and we will talk more about them in a bit. It also supports dual 5G sim cards but it doesn’t have SD card support.
The Redmi Note 12 Pro+ comes with a 6.67 OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Full HD+ resolution. It is really bright outdoors and can reach up to 1000 nits of brightness under direct sunlight. There is also an optical under-display fingerprint scanner on the display. The display is curved a bit on the edge but it is not aggressively curved. It is responsive to touch and it also has an 87% screen-to-body ratio.
The Phone is running on Android 12 and MIUI 13 is the user interface. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 which is a 6 nanometer processor. The phone comes with 8 or 12GB RAM with 256GB storage space on both models. Xiaomi beefed up the storage space because there isn’t a slot for memory expansion.
The Primary camera is 200MP with optical image stabilization and there is an 8MP ultra-wide camera. There is also another 2MP macro lens. Up front, we have a 16MP selfie camera and it has a 5000mAh battery with 120Watts fast charging support.
