Xiaomi set to launch the Redmi Go- check Out the spec’s

For those that have been waiting for the Xiaomi Android Go phone, there is good news for you people. It seems that Xiaomi is planning to unveil its own Android Go phone soon.

After most of the markets endorsed the phone, Xiaomi has decided to launch the much-awaited device. But this time, it will be launched first at Philippino market. A post was shared in the official Xiaomi Philippine page a few hours ago teasing the launch of a new phone.

A post by popular Philippine blog Revu.com.ph has revealed that the phone has already been listed in an online store called Lazada with the listing including the specs and poster of the device. Another hashtag that was included in the post is Go Smart, Do more – which shows that it is also the same device that Xiaomi teased on their Facebook page.

The Redmi Go is a modified version of the Redmi 4A and Redmi 5A. But the RAM size and storage space were reduced. The phone did not come with the rear-facing speaker of the Redmi4A/5A which is a good relief to us.

A quick look at the device shows that the device came with a 5.0 – inch 1280 x 720 display with a 16:9 aspect ratio and with a brightness of 380 nits. The phone runs in Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 with 1GB RAM and 8GB storage space. Users can add up to 128GB extra storage through the dedicated MicroSD card slot. The Redmi GO comes with 8MP F/2.0 camera with HDR and with LED flash on its back. The camera can be seen at the top left corner of the phone and it came with 5MP f/2.2 front-facing camera.

Looking at the connectivity, we can see a Bluetooth 4.1, single band Wi-Fi, a micro USB port and a dual – sim support. The phone also supports 4G LTE bands 1,2,3,4,5,7,8,20 and 28. The market or country will determine the availability of these bands including the dual VOLTE and dual 4G.

The Redi Go comes with a 3,000mAh battery with 5V/1A charger included in the box. The phone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo. The Redmi G will come in black and blue colour when it is officially launched. For now, Xiaomi has not revealed the price of the phone but be hopeful that the price will not exceed $100 since it is a mid-range phone. What do you think?
