5 Best Google Launchers Alternatives for Android Devices

Google Now Launcher — with over 100 million users — is one of the most popularly used Android launcher apps. This feat can be attributed to the fact that it is offered as a default launcher in a plethora of smartphones, running Android OS. However, with the emergence of a wide array of other quality launcher apps from other software developers in recent times, the popularity of Google Now started waning.

Right now, these are the 5 best Google Launcher alternatives you can download and install on your smartphone and tablet:

Nova Launcher

With over 50 million downloads on Google Play, Nova Launcher is arguably the most powerful Android launcher app available on the market. Nova, just like Google Now Launcher, also organizes all your phone applications in a vertical scrolling, arranged alphabetically. It is fully packed with many powerful settings which you can tweak to make your home screen appear just the way you desire. If you are the type of phone owner who is not all that gung-ho about customization, Nova Launcher app provides an impressive collection of quality default settings — settings that hit the bull’s eye when it comes to the needs of the majority of users.

Coming right up in this review of the 5 best Google Launchers Alternatives for Android is Pixel Launcher: It is the default launcher app that is featured on the recently released Pixel3 and Pixel 3 XL mobile phones. This personalization software offers an all-new design, which rivals, if not even better than, that of Google Now Launcher. Of course, the Pixel Launcher features all the trademarks of a typical Google app: It comes with good looks, with smooth performance, with a diverse array of captivating offerings.

Action Launcher 3

ActionLauncher 3 is a popular launcher app that has been downloaded over 5 million times on Google Play. It is equipped with an easy-to-use, intuitive UI and features an app drawer that slides in from the left edge of your phone screen. It organizes all apps on your device in alphabetical order by default, just the way Google Now Launcher does. But if you don’t find this option fanciful, you can change it from settings.

Microsoft Launcher

Microsoft Launcher, formerly known as Arrow Launcher, is yet another app that is worthy of mention in this list of the 5 best Google Launchers alternatives for Android. One of the distinct features of this app is its iOS-like flavor. It comes with a spotlight-search like option that can be enabled when you slide down on the home screen. Like other launchers, its app drawer is organized in alphabetical order but one of the things that distinguish this feature from that of other apps is that in this app, big-letters are used on the edge of the screen for differentiating between apps that start with different letters

  3. Great apps. I suggest this new app, it’s called “We’re arriving”, and is the best location-based alarm manager. The idea is help people that often go to unknown places, or frequently use public transport and enjoy being distracted by a book, music, landscape or take a good nap. Now they can rest assured that the We’re arriving will notify them when entering the alarm trigger area.

  4. Really surpised that Calengoo is not part of the productivity apps. You can use it on phones and tablets, and its infinetly customisable. The only issue is that it doesn’t offer a trial, or limited version, but its worth the money if you want a better than google like calendar on your phone or tablet.
