Archos Diamond Design And Display
Archos Diamond looks gorgeous with the full-screen display which has no notch and just a little bit of chin, thanks to the motorised pop up that houses the front facing camera. The display itself is a 6.39-inch 1080p+ AMOLED display with a 403ppi.
At the back is a neatly placed dual camera setup with an LED flash at the top left corner. No fingerprint sensor at the pack because it uses an in-display fingerprint sensor. The volume buttons and power button are situated at the right side. It features a Hybrid dual Nano SIM for both SIM cards and storage expansion. The device weighs 166 grams, measures 8.6mm in thickness and comes in just one colour; Dark Blue.
Archos Diamond Camera Review
A 16MP shooter sits at the back with an f/1.8 aperture and PDAF which is accompanied by a secondary 5MP depth sensor camera with an f/2.2 aperture. There is also a dual-LED flash for low light shots with features like HDR, Panorama and the ability to record 1080p videos at a maximum of 30fps. The 8MP selfie camera is located in a motorised compartment at the top of the device which comes up when in need. The camera has an f/2.0 aperture, HDR and can also record 1080p videos at 30fps.
Archos Diamond Hardware and Software
Archos opted for a MediaTek SoC for this one. It uses the MediaTek Helio P70 SoC which is based on the 12nm FinFET process technology and has 8 cores clocked at 2.0GHz alongside a Mali-G72 MP3 GPU. 4GB of RAM is available for multitasking while 128GB of storage takes care of files. Storage space can be expanded further but at the expense of a SIM slot (second SIM slot), up to 512GB. It runs Android 9.0 Pie out of the box also.
Battery & Network Connectivity
The 3,400mAh battery here supports MediaTek’s proprietary Pump express fast charging Technology of up to 18W through the USB Type-C Port which also supports USB On The Go. It also supports wireless charging too. No 5G here but there is 4G LTE, dual-band WiFi, WiFi hotspot, WiFi direct, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and a 3.5mm jack.
