Do you have a Glo SIM for which you can’t remember the number? Here, we will be showing you how to check your Glo phone number. Getting your phone number can be pretty tedious if for some reason you’ve misplaced your SIM pack which usually contains details about your SIM card which includes your phone number.
If you’ve misplaced your SIM pack I’ll advise that you get it replaced by doing a welcome back. However, if you’re simply not close to your SIM pack at the moment and just want to know your number then we’ve some steps you can follow to get it.
Simple Ways To Check Your Glo Phone Number
There are three ways you can easily check your Glo phone number, these methods are listed and explained below
Call Another Phone Number
This trick has been one of the oldest tricks to check phone numbers, not just for Glo but for other networks as well. All you have to do is make sure you have airtime on the SIM card and if you don’t have airtime you can buy and recharge the SIM.
Now, get hold of a second phone (it can be any phone with any SIM) and call the second phone from your Glo SIM. Once it starts ringing, the number will appear on the screen of the second phone. You can now copy the number and just like that, you have your Glo phone number. If it finishes ringing while you’re still writing down the phone number, you can always call it again.
Check Your Glo Number Using USSD Code
You can quickly check your Glo number using the USSD method. To do so, dial *135*8# and send. Once this is done, you will get a notification from Glo containing your 11 digits Glo number.
Use Glo Selfcare Portal
If you have an active data bundle on your Glo SIM then you check your phone number without needing another phone.
All you have to do is, simply login to the Glo Selfcare Portal, and once you get to the website (you must access the website with your Glo SIM as the data connection source) you’ll be able to see your number on the screen immediately.
If you don’t have a smartphone, you can place the Glo SIM in a modem, plug it into a PC and access the website to view your Glo Phone Number.
Call 1244
If you don’t have airtime to call another phone, or you don’t have another phone or data on your Glo SIM then don’t panic as there is the last method. You can simply just dial 1244. Once you dial this number, your Glo phone number will immediately be called out so you’ll need to listen, or better still put it on loudspeaker.
After calling out your Glo phone number, it will automatically hang up. You can always dial the number again to hear your phone number if you didn’t get it the first time.
Note: This last method is working at the time of writing this, in case it stops working you can always use methods 1 and 2 above.
That’s pretty much it. You can also call customer care on 121 or 200 and ask them to tell you your number which also works.
