Cubot x20 Pro Design And Display

Cubot X20 Pro

Cubot x20 Pro has a very premium looking design thanks to the materials used. It has a slab of glass at the back and at the front on top of the 6.3-inch display.

There is also a metal frame all around. As for the display, it is an FHD+ IPS LCD panel with a waterdrop notch housing the front-facing camera and a slim chin down at the bottom.

The back of the device has the triple camera along with an LED flash wrapped in a boxed shaped camera bump similar to the iPhone. No fingerprint sensor at the back as that is underneath the display here. Colour options to choose from here are blue, black and golden.

The device also comes with a hybrid dual SIM card slot so you can either use two SIM cards or use one SIM card and one microSD card.

Camera Specs

Starting off at the front is a 13MP selfie camera located in the notch. The front-facing camera takes amazing photos and can also be used for facial recognition, a.k.a FaceID. The rear camera, on the other hand, comprises of a 20MP main camera, 12MP ultra-wide camera and lastly, an 8MP camera.

The rear camera also has a dual-LED flash for low light photos. Other features of the rear camera include the AI scene optimization, HDR, OIS, panorama and the ability to shoot 4k videos at 30fps, 1080p videos at 60fps and 720p videos at 120fps.

Hardware and Software

Inside the device is the brain of the device; the Mediatek Helio P60 SoC. This chipset based on the 12nm process technology and has an octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz paired with an ARM Mali-G72 MP3 GPU for graphics and gaming. 6GB of RAM is on board to take care of multitasking while 128GB of storage stores files.

Storage is expandable here but at the expense of a SIM card slot, all thanks to the hybrid setup. The second SIM card slot which doubles as a microSD card slot can accommodate up to 256GB of additional storage.

Cubot x20 Pro runs stock Android out of the box, Android 9.0 Pie to be specific, with no skin slapped on top. This means no bloatware and overall smooth android experience.

Battery and Connectivity

A 4,000mAh battery powers the cubot x20 Pro which according to cubot offers more than 300hours of standby time, 106hours of music playback, 28hours of calling, 9hours of 1080p video playback and more than 6hours of gaming.

Unfortunately, there is no mention of fast charging here. However, it does come with an updated USB type-C for charging and file transfer. Other features of the cubot x20 Pro includes 4G LTE, Bluetooth, WiFi, WiFi hotspot, WiFi direct, GPS, FM radio, NFC and a 3.5mm jack.
