Doogee just added a new device to their collections of smartphones name Doogee Y7 Plus. The device is packing some pretty impressive features for a mid-range which includes a massive display, massive Battery and a massive RAM and inbuilt storage. It also has a dual camera setup and a magnificent and slim design along with some youthful colours. Let’s get into the nitty-gritty.

At the back of the device is the dual camera setup lined up horizontal with an LED flash just beside it. The Doogee logo sits comfortably at the centre on the device’s back with the fingerprint sensor at the huge chin in front, just underneath the notched 6.18-inch FHD+ display with 1080p screen resolution.

Sitting in the U-shaped notch is the single camera setup for selfies. The device measures 9.4mm in thickness and weighs just 180 grams. Colours available are youthful and vibrant with three options – Aurora Blue, Phantom Purple and Obsidian Black.

Doogee Y7 Plus sports a dual camera setup of 16MP + 13MP with an f/2.0, Phase detection autofocus (PDAF) and an LED flash for low light photos. The rear cameras are also equipped with an intelligent light compensation basing on different shooting modes which include FaceBeauty, Mono, Blur, Panorama and Pro. The camera is also capable of recording 2k and 720p videos at 30fps. As for the selfies, there is a single 8MP wide-angle camera with f/2.2 aperture which allows you to capture a whole lot in just a single photo.

MediaTek’s MT6757 Chipset takes charge here with an octa-core processor clocking speeds of up to 2.5GHz paired with a Mali T880-MP2 GPU. There is also a massive 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage which is the only configuration this device comes in. The storage space is expandable to 512GB via the second SIM slot which also doubles as a microSD card slot (Hybrid). As for Operating System, the device runs the not so latest Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box and of course, with Doogee’s UI on top.

Battery & Network Connectivity

The 5,080mAh battery here is probably one of the highlights of this device and should be able to comfortably last a whole day without charge. Also, the battery is equipped with fast charging for quick refills. The device also has 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, a microUSB port with support for USB On The Go. Unfortunately, there is no NFC.
