Chinese smartphone maker, Elephone launched a mid-range phone in December 2019 called “Elephone U3H”. The device comes with all the features and specs you’ll expect from a mid-ranger. The Elephone U3H comes in a front and back glass panel with gradient finish at the back. The device dimensions are 162.5 x 77.6 x 8.7 mm. With its punch-hole design, the phone was able to achieve a nearly all-screen front, which according to Elephone is at 91.38%. At the back, we have a dual camera with Flash aligned at the top left corner in a vertical position. Also, there is a rear fingerprint scanner, which is quicker and safer. The scanner supports fingerprint payment.

For a smartphone considered to be a mid-ranger, the memory size is very impressive. With the help of a microSD, you can extend the storage space up to 1TB. Casual gaming should run pretty smooth on the device. The phone runs on Android 9 Pie operating system but can easily be upgraded to Android 10.
Camera
The camera module at the back of the Elephone U3H features AI dual camera; a 48 MP Sony IMX 586 main camera and a 5 MP depth camera. The main camera features multi-frame HDR technology and multi-frame noise reduction to help enhance the texture and clarity of night pictures. On the display is a punch-hole that houses the 24 MP front selfie camera. It comes with the brand new AI beauty algorithm. The front camera supports Elephone’s new face unlock technology. The technology analyses over 125 invisible dots and creates a precise and accurate depth map of your face.
Battery
Am a bit disappointed with the 3,500 mAh battery capacity we have here. The 8GB/256GB model, however, supports wireless charging and NFC function.

The Elephone U3H is readily available in the market right now. The 8/256GB variant costs around N69,100 on AliExpress. While the 6/128GB is available at N54,300.
