Gionee F205 Lite is Gionee’s First Android Go Device for the Nigeria Market

Gionee F205 Lite is now officially available on shopping stores as the watered-down variant of the F205 smartphone we reviewed months ago. The Lite version sports an 8MP rear camera and 5MP selfie camera.

It sports a HD+ display and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo Go Edition. It’s a Lite version, so the RAM space has been reduced further. You only have just 1GB RAM space available here for multitasking. Let’s find out more.

Gionee F205 Lite Specs and Features

・5.45-inch HD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, 720 x 1440 pixels
・Android 8.1 Oreo Go with 1GB RAM
・Quad-core 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6739
・16GB built-in storage
・13MP rear camera and 5MP front camera
・3000mAh non-removable Battery

Design And Display

The F205 Lite has a Plastic back mixed with metal frame for that premium look and feel. It also sports dual curved antenna lines at the top and bottom corner making it look more classy and premium.

At the top left corner, we can see the rear camera and LED flash in a horizontal position. It doesn’t come with a fingerprint scanner at the rear. The device measures 7.95mm in thickness and weighs 135.6g overall.

The front is built around a full view 18:9 screen which offers users more screen and fewer bezels. There’s another Gionee logo at the bottom corner, while the usual features are seen at the top.

It sports a 5.45-inch HD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels and 268 pixels per inch density for sharp visuals. The screen also stretches up to 76% screen-to-body ratio.

Hardware and Software

Under the hood, the MediaTek MT6739 budget chipset is on board with its 28nm process node. It has a 4-core processor with a clock speed of up to 1.3GHz as well. There’s a PowerVR GE8100 handling graphics.

For multitasking, you get a smaller 1GB of RAM space available, but that shouldn’t be a problem since it runs on Android 8.1 Oreo Go Edition. While in the storage department, you get the standard 16GB storage space. It runs on the latest Android 8.1 Oreo Go Edition.

Camera, Network And Connectivity

It’s equipped with an 8MP rear camera with a dual-LED flash for all your photography needs. Furthermore, it has a 5MP selfie shooter as well for all your selfies.

The F205 Lite supports 4G LTE connectivity and accommodates dual Nano SIMs. It also has support for Bluetooth 4.2, USB 2.0, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Hotspot and A-GPS, GLONASS.

Battery, Price And Availability

The Gionee F205 Lite is powered by a non-removable 3000mAh battery with no fast charging technology. Gionee F205 Lite will be available on shopping stores, starting from $99 to $109, that’s about (N30,000 – N33,000).

  1. The specs for your gionee f205 lite are totally wrong, why not check jumia or other gionee related stores for the specs.
