Gionee has launched their latest smartphone – Gionee M15 to the Nigerian market. The device which is a successor to the Gionee M12 release in November 2020, will be looking to compete with the likes of Infinix Note 8 and Redmi Note 9S. Design and Display
The Gionee M15 comes in a regular design we have seen from most mid-rangers. The front side features a hole-punch design display with a high screen resolution that will enable users to get a more vivid extraordinary visual experience for the field of view. Below the display is a sizeable chin. At the back, we have the Gionee branding, fingerprint reader, and a rectangular-shaped camera module. The Gionee phone measures 165.2 x 77 x 9 mm in dimensions.
The Gionee M15 is built around a 6.67″ hole-punch display that features a 91.4% screen-to-body ratio, 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution and 20:9 aspect ratio.

Underneath the Gionee M15 is the MediaTek Helio G90 chipset with an Octa-core CPU that uses the Arm Cortex-A76. The chip is married with either 6GB or 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. Handling the graphics of the Gionee device is Mali-G76 MC4. Software-wise, the Gionee M15 runs on Google’s Android 11 OS.

Gionee boasts that the 48MP Quad camera combo on the M15 has every function a user needs to record every scene and detail of their life. Aside from the main camera with f/1.8 aperture, the module features a 5MP f/2.2 wide-angle camera with 115° FoV, a 2MP f/2.4 macro lens with 4cm focal length and a 2MP f/2.4 depth lens. Inside the hole-punch design on the display is a 16MP selfie camera.
The Gionee M15 packs a 5,100 mAh battery capacity with an advanced power saving system. The device will automatically switch to Low Power Mode in a low capacity situation. The company proclaims that the device can be fully charged with the 18W super fast charge support within 3 hours, which is 16% faster than the regular charge.
