Google tensor vs Samsung exynos 2100

The Google Pixel 6 is finally here, which means we can see how the Google Tensor chipset performs for the first time. But how does it compare to the Exynos 2100 processor found in the Samsung Galaxy S21 series? That is the purpose of this Google Tensor vs Samsung Exynos 2100 comparison post.

The first is the CPU configuration. The Exynos 2100 has a 1+3+4 CPU architecture and a 5G modem built-in. The Google Tensor, on the other hand, uses an octa-core 2+2+4 CPU configuration.

The GPU in the Exynos 2100 is the Mali-G78, which has 14 cores. Google Tensor includes a 20-core ARM-Mali G78 GPU. Both graphics processing units are good, but the Google Tensor performs better under heavy use.

The Exynos 2100, on the other hand, is a photographer’s dream. The image signal processor can handle cameras with up to 200-megapixel sensors. The fact that it can process four camera streams at the same time is even more intriguing. It’s beneficial because the Google Tensor can only capture images with a resolution of 50 MP. It can, however, shoot 4K HDR videos at 60 frames per second.

The Exynos also supports 4K video recording at 120 frames per second and 8K video recording at 60 frames per second. As a result, the Exynos 2100 outperforms the Google Tensor in terms of display, media, and camera versatility.

Conclusion

The Exynos 2100 outperforms the Google Tensor chip. Hopefully, future Tensor chips will be able to fully match Exynos’ chip. Whatever the case may be, these two chips are capable of completing any task.
