The HTC Desire 12 Plus is the bigger and advanced version of the HTC Desire 12 smartphone that was launched earlier by the company. The device comes with a dual rear camera and rear fingerprint scanner, both features weren’t available on the aforementioned.
Internally, the device is powered by a Snapdragon chip and an Adreno graphics processor from Qualcomm as well. Unlike the HTC Desire 12, the Plus version has an octa-core processor. Want to know more? Stay with me.

DESIGN
Comes with the exact same Aluminum Alloy body, as we can see at the top left corner, it sports “twice the fun” in terms of photography. There’s also a LED flash by the side, all in a horizontal format, making the rear look more sleek and attractive.
The fingerprint scanner was introduced in this Plus version finally, with the HTC logo underneath. Turning over to the sides, it measures 8.4mm in thickness and weighs 157.5g overall, a very light device even with all its features. It’s available in Black, Purple and Gold.
DISPLAY
The Plus version is also bezel-less as well, dishing out an 18:9 aspect ratio and a much taller display. No narrow bezels in sight, with super minimal top and bottom bezel. The top bezel houses the usual features, while the bottom is vacant.
The 6-inch HD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen has a disappointing resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels. With that little resolution on a 6-inch screen, the visuals might not be too sharp. It has a pixel per inch density of 268, boasts a blue light filter, full lamination and stretches up to 76.7% screen to body ratio.
HARDWARE and SOFTWARE
Behind the screen is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SDM450 chip with 8-cores processor and 64-bit CPU architecture. The processor reaches a maximum speed of 1.8GHz and has a 28nm process technology. In charge of graphics is the Qualcomm Adreno 506 graphics processor.
The same 3GB of RAM is available even in the Plus version with a memory speed of 667MHz as well. In terms of storage, the same 32GB storage space that’s upgradeable up to 400GB with a memory card. The HTC Desire 12 Plus smartphone runs on Android 8.0 Oreo.
CAMERA
Twice the fun, the dual 13MP + 2MP rear shooters have f/2.2 aperture and can capture highn resolution images. With the HTC Desire 12 Plus, you can capture photographs with 4163 x 3122 pixels in dimension and record FHD videos of 1080 pixels at 30 frames per second. For selfies, there’s an 8MP selfie camera at the top bezel with front flash.
BATTERY
The HTC Desire 12 Plus is powered by a non-removable Li-Ion 2965mAh battery with fast charging technology.
