DESIGN
We know exactly how Huawei make their devices, the Y9 (2018) didn’t fall short. Sporting an Aluminum Alloy overall unibody that’s quite captivating to look at. The dual rear camera exudes at the top left corner of the device in a horizontal format.
Moving further, there’s a dual-LED flash beside the shooters, ready for some night time photography. While the fingerprint scanner is in its usual position at the back. It measures 7.89mm in thickness when you turn over to the sides and weighs 170g overall. Additionally, the device is available in Black, Blue and Gold colours.
DISPLAY
This is just a one of a kind smartphone that doesn’t flow with the current trend. Although it’s bezel-less, at the same time it’s refreshing seeing a new smartphone without the trending top-notch. The Huawei logo sits at the bottom while the top houses the usual features.
The 5.93-inch FHD+ LTPS IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen is literally out of this world. Boasting of 2160 x 1080 pixels in resolution and 407 pixels per inch density, offering crystal clear visuals. The screen supports LED Notifications and stretches up to 76.90% screen to body ratio.

Running the race here is the HiSilicon Kirin 659 chipset from Huawei which is an 8-core of a processor and 64-bit CPU architecture. The processor reaches a massive clock speed of 2.36GHz and has a 14nm process technology. Administrating graphics is the ARM Mali-T830 MP2 graphics processor.
3GB of RAM space is available underneath for all your heavy multitasking with a memory speed of 933 MHz and an i5 Coprocessor Card. In terms of storage, 32GB internal storage space is available and upgradeable up to 256GB. The Huawei Y9 (2018) runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with Emotion 8.0 UI.

At the rear, there’s a dual 13MP + 2MP camera with f/2.2 aperture, capturing 4K resolution images.
