After series of leaks online, Mobile phones maker HTC has taken the wrap of its flagship smartphone for 2017, the HTC U11. The device comes with a special called Edge Sense, This lets you squeeze the phone in order to perform specific actions. For example you can snap a picture by squeezing the U11’s frame.
The phone was unveiled today at Taipei and it comes out of the box with android 7.1 Nougat as expected. It also features Google assistant while some variants will have also have Amazon Alexa Assistant as well.

In terms of specs, HTC U11 is not far from what is expected of a flagship device, it is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor paired 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. This is the version that will be sold in the US. For other regions, there may be the 6GB of RAM/ 128GB internal storage variant.
Design and Display
HTC U11 is a 5.5-inch smartphone with gorgeous looking QHD display having a resolution of 1440*2560. It has a premium body build made of glossy material. The front screen is covered by Super LCD 5 panel and Gorilla Glass 5. It measures just 153.9 x 75.9 x 7.9mm in dimension and weighs around 169g.
In the Camera department, the phone is blessed with ultraPixel sensor which HTC claimed is the #1 smartphone in the world having achieved a DxOMark of 90.The rear camera is a 12 MP UltraPixel 3 with 1.4 micron pixel size, f/1.7 aperture, optical image stabilization, a dual-LED flash, and 4K video recording. Slow motion video can be captured in 1080p at 120fps. On the other hand, the front camera comes with 16 MP snapper for all your selfies delight and can record video in 1080P.
Connectivity options on the phone include, USB Type-C port, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, NFC, GPS, GLONASS, and Beidou on board. HTC has joined the likes of Apple and Xiaomi who ditched the 3.5mm headset jack. So if your reason for buying a phone is the headset jack, you will be disappointed with the HTC U11. The device comes in both single-SIM and dual-SIM variants-the single SIM version support up to 1Gbps 4G LTE, while the latter can go as high as 800Mbps. It has IP67 certification for water and dust resistance. This means you can immerse in water for up to 1M for 30minS.
