Huawei Honor 10 GT Announced With Turbo Technology

Huawei Honor 10 GT has been unveiled in China as a gaming smartphone with Turbo Technology. The Honor 10 was introduced two months ago, but it seems Honor didn’t like the specs on the device which performs more like a mid-range.

Now the company has introduced a more beastly version dubbed the Honor 10 GT. The smartphone packs 8GB of RAM, while the Mali-G72 MP12 graphics processor is packed with a Turbo technology which increases the performance by 60%. Let’s find out more.

The body looks almost identical to the original Honor 10, it has the gradient look and feels. The aluminium frame can reflect light in so many colours and shades. The camera positioning is still the same as it sits horizontally at the top left corner.

The LED flash also sits beside the camera and ready for night shoots. It measures just 7.7mm in thickness, this makes it a very slim device. It’s also lightweight, weighing just 153g overall, you can get it in Phantom Blue, Phantom Green and Midnight colours.

The front also looks the same as the Honor 10, it sports the notch and it’s very small and almost invisible as well. The bottom chin is also very thick housing a physical home button that doubles as a fingerprint scanner.

The 5.84-inch FHD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen is as beautiful and stunning as ever. The screen boasts of 1080 x 2280 pixels in resolution and 432 pixels per inch density. It stretches up to 79.9% screen-to-body ratio, with the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top.

Hardware and Software

Of course, the Hisilicon Kirin 970 chipset is in charge and comes with AI features. It has an octa-core processor that reaches a speed of 2.4GHz. While the Mali-G72 MP12 graphics card brings the GPU tech.

There’s a massive 8GB of RAM now for multitasking, this will give the Honor 10 some flagship status. There will be two storage variants, one with 128GB and a cheaper variant with 64GB storage. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with EMUI 8.1 skin on top.

The dual 16MP + 24MP rear shooters are AI-powered and both have f/1.8 aperture lens. Other features include gyro-EIS, PDAF, LED flash, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR and panorama. It also shoots 4K videos @30fps and 1080p@30/60fps. For selfies, it has a 24MP selfie camera that has f/2.0 aperture and supports Face ID.

The 10 GT supports 4G LTE and accommodates dual Nano SIM, it also has support for Bluetooth 4.2, 3.5mm jack, USB Type-C, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Hotspot and A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS.
