Huawei P Smart Plus Full Specs Review

The Huawei P Smart Plus is the newest smartphone from Huawei to hit the shelves in Europe. The device popped up in one of Huawei’s official store in Europe as the P Smart Plus.

However, if you look closely, you’ll see the device is just a rebranded Huawei Nova 3i. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with the latest EMUI skin, it’s powered by the new Kirin 710 mid-range chipset as well.

Design And Display

Looks exactly how Huawei makes its mid-range smartphones, it comes with the Twilight body which reflects light beautifully. A combination of polycarbonate and aluminium alloy exudes at the rear.

Of courses, the dual cameras are vertically placed at the top left corner with the LED flash underneath. While the fingerprint scanner takes centre stage. It weighs just 169g overall and measures 7.6mm in thickness. It’s available in Black and Purple colours.

Turning to the front, you’ll see the 19:9 aspect ratio screen. The screen is tall enough and should delight big screen lovers. The notch is not that big though, but it houses the dual cameras and speaker grille.

The tall 6.3-inch FHD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen boasts of 2340 x 1080 pixels in resolution and 409 pixels per inch density for clear visuals. It stretches up to 82.48% of the entire front as well.

Hardware and Software

Huawei’s newest mid-range chip, the HiSilicon Kirin 710 powers this up. The chip was built on a 12nm manufacturing process and comes with an 8-core processor which clocks at 2.2GHz.

Steering the graphics is the ARM Mali-G51 MP4 graphics processor which boasts of 4-Cores and clocks 767MHz. You also get 4GB RAM for multitasking, 64GB storage space to Store all files. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with Emotion 8.2 UI.

Camera, Network And Connectivity

For photography, it sports dual 16MP + 2MP rear shooters this has f/2.2 aperture and other AI features enhancing your photography. For selfies, you also get to play with two 24MP + 2MP selfie shooters with f/2.0 aperture, AI beautification and Face Unlock.

The P Smart Plus supports 4G LTE connectivity and accommodates dual Nano SIMs. It also has support for Bluetooth 4.2, 3.5mm jack, USB port, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Hotspot and A-GPS, GLONASS.

Battery, Price And Availability

The Huawei P Smart Plus is powered by a non-removable Li-Po 3340mAh battery with fast charging technology. Huawei P Smart Plus will be available on shopping stores, starting from $199 to $249, that’s about (N70,000 – N85,000).
