Huawei has announced Y6 2019 which basically is the Y6 Pro 2019 that was released not long ago with some of its specifications changed in order to bring the price down. It still retains the MediaTek Helio A22 SoC which but has 2GB of RAM. Also, there is no fingerprint sensor at the back or underneath the display on this. Let’s find out what else is missing here.

Huawei Y6 2019 Design And Display

The Huawei Y6 2019 still features that 6.09-inch 720p+ IPS LCD display found on its sibling the Huawei Y6 Pro 2019. The display also has a notch cut out at the top for the front facing camera which is the norm as well as a chin at the bottom with the Huawei name inscribed on it. A single camera and an LED flash sit at the back with no fingerprint sensor in sight. While the body of the device is made of plastic, the display is covered with glass. Overall, the device weighs 150grams and measures just 8mm in thickness.

Colour options available here are Midnight Black, Sapphire Blue and Amber Brown, with the latter having a leather-like design and exclusive to only the Huawei Y6 2019 (Not the Pro). It also has a dual SIM card slot and a dedicated slot for a MicroSD card.

The 13MP at the back which an f/1.8 aperture and PDAF is accompanied by an LED flash. It also has features like HDR, Panorama and the ability to shoot 1080p videos at 30fps. The front facing 8MP camera with an f/2.0 aperture also has an LED flash for low light shots and is also able to shoot 1080p videos at 30fps.

Huawei Y6 2019 is equipped with a MediaTek Helio A22 SoC which has a Quad-Core processor clocking speeds of up to 2.0GHz, paired with a PowerVR GE8320 GPU for gaming. This is hooked up to 2GB of RAM for a smooth multitasking Experience. It also has 32GB of storage which is expandable through the onboard dedicated MicroSD card slot, up to 512GB. This device ships with Android 9.0 Pie which will have Huawei’s EMUI 9 Skin on top.

Battery & Network Connectivity

The 3,020mAh battery on the Huawei Y6 2019 doesn’t have fast charging. However, it does have other features like 4G LTE connectivity, Bluetooth, GPS, WiFi, WiFi hotspot, WiFi direct, FM radio, 3.5mm jack and a micro USB port for charging and file transfer.
