Huawei P smart Plus 2019 Full Specs and Price

Huawei released the P smart 2019 earlier this and later silently followed up with the P smart Plus 2019 which has almost the same specifications. It has the same Kirin 710 SoC on the inside with 3GB of RAM, 32GB or 64GB of internal storage, a 6.21-inch display with a notch and a 3,400mAh with fast charging. However, some upgrades were made in the camera department. Let’s see how much of a difference this plus version is.

Huawei P smart Plus 2019 Design And Display

Huawei P smart+ 2019 has the same design as the P smart 2019. The back of the device is made of plastic to looks like glass thanks to the paint job. Talking about the paint jobs, this device comes in two colours which are Black and Blue. At the back are three cameras – one more than the one on the P smart 2019.

There is also an LED flash below th camera and a fingerprint sensor towards the top centre. Turning over to the front is the 6.21-inch IPS LCD display which has a Full HD+ (1080 x 2240 pixels) resolution, 415ppi and a 19:9 aspect ratio with a notch that houses the single front-facing camera. There is also a small chin at the bottom. Overall the device weighs just 160grams and measures 8mm in thickness. There is also an hybrid dual SIM card slot.

The camera department is the only difference, or should I say upgrade over the non plus model. This P smart+ 2019 has a total of three cameras at the back; a 24MP main shooter accompanied by a secondary 16MP ultrawide angle camera and lastly, a 2MP depth sensor camera. It is also equipped with an LED flash, HDR, Panorama and AI for photo enhancement, image stabilisation and night mode with the ability can shoot 1080p slow-motion videos (480fps). The front-facing 8MP selfie camera also has AI for better image output.

Huawei P smart+ 2019 is rocking that Hisillicon Kirn 712 SoC which is based on the 12nm FinFET process technology and has an octa-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz with a Mali-G51 MP4 GPU for gaming. There is also GPU Turbo 2.0 which aimed at improving gaming. For multitasking, there is 3GB of RAM with two storage options; 32GB or 64GB which are both expandable via the second SIM card slot which doubles as a microSD card slot. It runs Huawei’s EMUI 9.0 Skin over Android 9.0 Pie.

Battery & Network Connectivity

The 3,400mAh here is equipped with a standard 10W (5V/2A) fast battery charging which should get you a full charge in less than 2 hours. It also has all the connectivities the non plus model has which includes 4G LTE, dual-band WiFi, WiFi hotspot, WiFi direct, Bluetooth, GPS, FM radio, a 3.5mm jack and a microUSB port with support for USB On The Go.

The Pricing for the device hasn’t been made Official yet but it should be around the same price as the non plus model, probably a little bit higher at $270 or the 3GB/32GB configuration and $300 for the bigger 3GB/64GB configuration.
