Infinix has been churning out some really good budget smartphones, two of which are the Infinix S4 and Hot 7 Pro which are the latest in their respective line. Both devices are similarly specced and are in the same price range so it makes sense to pitch them together and ask the obvious question; Which one offers the best value for money? To answer this, we have to look at the specifications of both devices and know what they are both bringing to the table. So without any further ado, let’s get started.
Infinix Hot S4 vs Infinix Hot 7 Pro – Design & Display
Infinix Hot S4 has a 6.26-inch HD+ display with a water drop notch housing the front facing camera while the Infinix Hot 7 Pro has a similar 6.2-inch HD+ display but with a bathtub notch which fits a dual front-facing camera and an LED flash comfortably.
Infinix Hot S4’s body is made of plastic with Blue and Red as the colour options while Hot 7 Pro is made of plastic as well with lots of colours options which includes Gold, Black, Blue and Red. Both devices have dual SIM card slots with a dedicated MicroSD card slot for storage expansion.

Infinix Hot S4 uses a MediaTek Helio P22 SoC which has an octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz alongside a PowerVR GE8320 GPU for gaming with 3GB, 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB as the available storage options. Storage can be expanded via the dedicated MicroSD card slot of up to 128GB.
Infinix Hot 7 Pro, on the other hand, has two models. The first has a MediaTek Helio P20 SoC with a quad-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz paired with a Mali-880 GPU with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The second has the MediaTek Helio P22 found on the Infinix S4 with an octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz alongside a PowerVR GE8320 GPU. It has 3GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB of expandable storage. Storage can go up to 128GB via a microSD card.
Both the Infinix Hot S4 and the Hot 7 Pro run Android 9.0 Pie out of the box with Infinix XOS UI 5.0 Cheetah slapped on top.
Camera, Battery & Connectivity
Both devices have a total of 4 cameras on them. Infinix Hot S4 has a triple 13MP + 8MP + 2MP camera combination at the back with a quad-LED flash and a single 32MP camera at the front for selfies. Hot 7 Pro has its four cameras split more evenly with a combination of a dual 13MP + 2MP at the back with a dual-LED flash and the same 13MP + 2MP with an LED flash at the front for selfies.
Both the Infinix Hot S4 and Hot 7 Pro have a 4,000mAh battery with a standard 10W fast battery charging so refilling shouldn’t take long. There is also 4G LTE connectivity here on both devices. Other features on both devices include but not limited to WiFi, WiFi hotspot, Bluetooth, GPS, a 3.5mm jack and of course, a microUSB port through which charging and file transfer are done.
Infinix Hot S4 vs Infinix Hot 7 Pro – Price
Infinix Hot S4 cost N49,900 for the 3GB/32GB configuration and can go as high as N64,500 for the biggest configuration with 6GB/64GB. Infinix Hot 7 Pro price, on the other hand, is priced at N45,500 for the 3GB and 32GB version. Nevertheless, Infinix Hot S4 takes the crown as it has a more trendy design, same processor and a triple rear camera.
