Infinix Mobility is set to start off the year 2020 with the release of the Infinix S6. The device will succeed the Infinix S5 which did pretty well in the budget market.
Judging by the leaks and rumours we’ve seen so far, Infinix Mobility is finally adopting the pop-up camera mechanism. It’s the same feature we saw in a lot of smartphones in 2019 from companies like Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo e.t.c.
According to the leaks, the Infinix S6 will feature a pop-up selfie camera mechanism. The camera houses a 2MP sensor. In a recent interview, Infinix CEO Mr Bemjami Jiang stated that “Q1 of 2020 will be the most surprising for the camera lovers and Infinix will be introducing pop-up selfie camera phones with mind-blowing tech innovations”.
With the Infinix phone having a pop-up selfie camera, this gives room for a larger display. The device comes with a 6.6-inch bezel-less display with an impressive screen-to-body ratio. Powering the Infinix S6 is MediaTek Helio P35 SoC with an Octa-core processor clocked at 2.3 GHz. For comparison, the Infinix S5 features MediaTek Helio P22 SoC with an Octa-core processor clocked at 2.0 GHz.
Other features we know so far is a memory option of 6GB RAM and 64GB ROM, Front and back glass body build, rear-mounted fingerprint reader, quad rear camera setup, and microUSB 2.0 port. No word on which market or region will be getting the 6/64GB memory variant. No doubt 2020 will be an awesome year for Infinix lovers, so stay tuned.
